  1. Buy some more? https://www.acscustom.com/uk/products/accessories I’m fairly new to these, i have found it’s essential to create a seal to get them to attenuate evenly - any slight gaps and it’s overly bassy
  2. I enjoyed the first 2 albums. Not really liked anything by them since, but honestly the state of pop music & you take issue with Coldplay. Don’t get it!
  3. did you see the link to musik produktiv - available for £299. Lots of people on here successfully used them when they were selling off the rm heads for cheap
  4. Personally I’d be looking at 2nd hand. You’ll not know what you like until you try it at volume with a band, and even then it’ll take a few rehearsals until you know for sure. if you go 2nd hand, you’ll be able to sell on for similar money. With regard to BF I’d definitely try and listen to a cab before purchase. Or you can return a cab after a month if you don’t like it for around £30. I had the 10’s and for me they didn’t live up to the hype. That said, lots of people love them
  5. Available here for a bit less? https://www.musik-produktiv.com/gb/ashdown-abm-115h-evo-iv-compact.html
  6. I’ve not heard he pro neo ABM’s, but I would go (standard heavier) ABM’s over Rm cabs any day
  7. I love my ashdown 15’s. They don’t have horn or tweeter but they sound massive
  8. I’ve been trying to work on my rhythm lately. I don’t know if this will be advanced enough for many here, but check out rhythm trainer app. I have found some of the exercises to be pretty useful
  9. Hi All, Recently got a 3d printer at my work and we're running some sample parts through it. I took that as a good opportunity to design a little bracket for my power supply, to free up some space on top of my pedalboard. I think the design should work reasonably well, the idea is I can slide the power supply out if I need to but I am slightly concerned about the tab - but lets see how it goes. I'll also create some spacers for the feet as there is not enough clearance. Might be slightly over engineered, but its free and it'll help us understand how the printer works.
  10. I had 2 x 210 barefaced cabs. I prefer the ashdowns - didn’t expect to, but I did. Plus I picked the cabs up for £100 each, which in comparison is a steel. I am intrigued by the BF super compact though, I think that would have been more my thing. There is 410 on eBay for a decent price https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ashdown-ABM-410H-bass-cab-650W-8ohm-/363617414589?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  11. Yep, I go shape in and scoop the mids slightly. I’ll try isolating the 340hz and see how it goes
  12. Here's my rig: Always thought Ashdowns got a bit of a bad name, but the above rig is excellent - I've also got a 210 evo ii cab if I'm using the Pbass. I have an ABM 1200 at my practice room - I guess if you've got 2x 4 ohm speaker cabs and you want to get 600w to each, then maybe its worth looking at. Or if you want more than 2x Speaker cabs. They are pretty damn heavy though. I'd be interested in how everyone sets their EQ, whether they use onboard compressor etc.

  14. It was only a matter of time till Tarantino was mentioned. I’m a massive fan. I’ve seen him interviewed and he essentially storyboards his movies with music really early in the process - I think even before the script. speaking of Tarantino, he features in this brilliant scene - he didn’t direct this one though.
  15. I quite like it, but must admit I really haven't tried too many. I find it much more useful when its mixed with the original signal, although I wish there was a blend knob as the sound seems to alter so much room to room & with fresh/dead strings
  16. I'm not familiar with Taurus input - what is it? Edit - Its the Moog Taurus pedal right?
  17. Nice! Wasn’t aware that portishead covered that track. Her vocal delivery reminded me of every dream home a heartache by Roxy music, which has been used well in the gentleman & mindhunter https://youtu.be/88Z8Bmf5p9I
  18. I was watching the Joker on the weekend. At the end of the movie, the joker has just been arrested and is driving through a burning Gotham city, with rioting etc. All with White Room by Cream playing in the background. This is such a great combination of music and film - Almost to the point where I almost like the song more than I did before. There are countless examples of this in cinema, & I thought it would be good to start a thread of examples where the movie elevates a song to a new level.
  19. Doesn’t look like a valve drive - which is my fave feature on the ABM, so i may be able to resist temptation!
  20. Looks cool! It’s got 1 knob where you would normally have 3 on the ABM. Given that it’s guy Pratt is it most likely an octave?
  21. Not sure about the 210’s but my cabs are 300w. I have the compact version which are actually pretty light. There was a larger 500w version of the 115 cabs
  22. Older, rear ported evo 2 cabs (with rounded steel handles & no tweeter). I only got them as a stop gap while I tried to figure out which cab to buy next, I didn’t expect to like them as much as I did, so that will be my rig for a good while now. my only issue is the lack of tweeter. It’s fine when I’m using my stingray, but my p bass could benefit from some additional top end. Im a little surprised Ashdown went sealed with the pro neos. I know they are opening a pop up shop in Denmark street London 11-16 October. If you could get there you could see the difference between the rm, Abm & Abm pro neo ranges.
  23. Yep, I’m sure I’d be in a absolute minority on here preferring ashdown 15s to barefaced 210s. Different strokes for different folks.
