Very annoying 😡 Perhaps some kind of short unfortunately.

Were you using a daisy chain with an exposed output that wasn’t being used? I heard years back from a pro tech that can cause issues if it touches a metal pedal casing.

***Now Sold*** Mike Lull MV4, made in 2008, all original. No trades please. Mike's modern take on a Jazz Bass, which includes a smaller body. Retail price on these is near £3k these days. Ash body, Lindy Fralin pickups, Aguilar OBP-2 preamp, active/passive. Controls are: volume, pickup pan, passive tone (pull for passive mode), active treble and bass cut & boost (stacked). Excellent condition, just very minor marks on the side and a small light blemish on the rear (pictured). Everything functions and it's issue free i.e. neck, frets, electrics, etc. Weighs 7.69lbs / 3.490kg and the balance is exceptional, feeling noticeably lighter on a strap than typical head-diving 7.5lbs basses. If you're interested, please contact me via PM to work out shipping.

A fond memory of my floor covered in basses when we did some set up tinkering. Like a 12 year old with a Playboy, I didn’t know where to look first 😁

Bravewood eh? Now I’m scanning your collection for swaps... damn this thread, it’s like reverse psychology 🤔
-
But how are you going to decide which to sell first? 😳 @hiram.k.hackenbacker I believe you could buy 3, but I bet you can’t sell 3 in order to stick to your rule 😊

I’m in. 2020 was nuts for purchases, so a dry 2021 will be a doddle 😉

Withdrawn - Bravewood 1962 Jazz Bass - Slab Board, Ash Body.

The original Bravewood listing says 'neck depth at first fret (not including fret) is 21mm, 24.75 mm at the 12th'. To me, it's a fuller C shape than my old Custom Shop '63 Jazz, and not as chunky as some of the Custom Shop U shape necks, but that's just from memory. Either way, it's very comfortable. Width is standard for a Jazz. Thanks. -

First time I’ve ever had to leave a negative... Rich agreed a deal on 23/12, said he’d pay, didn’t. Then later said he’d pay again in 27/12, and didn’t again. Then deleted our conversion on 1/1 without even a word. Thing is, all was amicable and fine prior to being ditched. Not cool Rich, I was more then patient with your excuses for late payment, I put no pressure on you, and yet got the proverbial middle finger.

Gbase.com is good for seeing what’s in the States, and you can search by years.

Withdrawn - it’s far too good. Bought in August ‘20, it’s a stunning Bravewood with slab board, ash body, Radioshop pickups, and tons of mojo. Sounds outstanding. Bravewoods sell themselves, so I’ll just leave it there. Weighs 9lbs according to the original listing on the BW website. ***The last photo, form the Bravewood website, is closest to showing the colour of the bass. I may retake photos if I get a chance. No issues, and well looked after.

That time when you play a bass you were going to sell

I’d love to say yes, just to see your mind melt when you have to decide which to part with 😁 -

Similar thing keeps happening with my Bravewood Jazz. It’s a seriously killer bass, it’s just that I’m a P Bass and StingRay guy first. I like having a Jazz in the house but often wonder if I really need such a good/expensive one for the odd play, and it’s a relic which really goes against my grain. Then I play it, and think I should keep it. Happens monthly, I really should know better and just settle 🙄 -
Just bought a pedal, all good thanks 👍

Yeah, played a few at Andertons the week they came out. Too many variables though to say the exact cause of difference, the single H were heavier and had ebony or rosewood boards. It’s also the same old thing of the same spec bass won’t always sound the same on each example. I get that the signal has to travel through additional components on a HH, but they always fundamentally sound like a Ray to me. I guess the only real way to know is to alter/test a HH as a H... but life it surely too short 😀
