FS/FT EA iAmp 600, Markbass 4x10 and 1x15
Higgie replied to Higgie's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Ok here we have a recently serviced EA iAmp 600 with built in Sabine Tuner. It pumps out 300w at 8 ohms, or the full 600 at 4 ohms. Very clean and HiFi sounding, with lots of tonal control. It's a really nice head, I'm just looking for something a bit dirtier!
The fault that the Tech "fixed" has decided to surface again I'm not sure what the problem is with it, it's most probably a faulty input jack, as everything else works fine. It's been working great since I got it back and has only just decided to start throwing a wobbler. Make me an offer if anyone wants to take it off me in this condition and get it working themselves? I welcome you to come round and have a play, just to show it IS working, just has a small fault! -
James, I hefted these about a fair bit at the Bassmerchant the other day when I bought my AG500 - I had actually gone there to A/B the DB112 against my GS112 with the intention of buying new cabs They are perfectly manageable in the 12" format, it's the 2x10" and upwards that starts to get heavy quickly. I certainly wouldn't worry about the weight of these and I have a pretty bad back. Lovely little rig lowfer, congratulations I loved the sound of the DB's and felt they suit my tastes slightly better than the GS's but I was chatting to another basschatter at the time who made me realise that they might not be all that rugged for lugging around to gigs etc with the cloth grilles and peened corners so I decided to stick with the GS112's... Still, good excuse to have bought the AG500 instead! J
Hi mate, Thanks for the advice. That's the main reason I was going for the 12's. They seemed pretty small and light, yet not compromising any of the sound for their weight. Just gotta find me some second hand ones! Looking to get one with a tweeter and one without, so that if I use one cab I got a choice of tweeter or not, and if I use both cabs, it'd act like a 212 with 1 tweeter Cheers (sorry for the thread hijack!!)
Sorry, but who names a colour Chocolate Thunder? All it does is serve to conjure up an image of having an epic fart and following through.
Well, it certainly does now...

Tilt that thing the right way up you nutter, you'll rip the chocolate off!! I'm thinking of grabbing me 2 of these cabs and an AG500, would you say they are THAT heavy?

FS/FT: Nordstrand 5.2 Stingray 5 Replacement pickup

Ok, so I'm looking to upgrade to a 5.3 to make full use of the switching options on my SR5, and just thought I'd see if I could get a sale for this. The Stingray 5 is my maing gigging bass, so although it's a bit of a weird situation, I'd need to sell the 5.2 before I buy the 5.3, but then couldn't part with the 5.2 until the 5.3 is installed, just so that I can keep using it inbetween! It's a great pickup (would be ideal for anyone looking to improve the sound of their OLP 5 string, as this doesn't have the switching options) but works just fine in the SR5. The pickup housing is the non-dogeared version. I could probably get by without changing this pickup, but hey, I'm not happy unless I'm buying/selling/upgrading something that doesn't necessarily need it They sell for £100 from Bass Direct, so how about £75 posted, or a trade + cash my way for a 5.3 if anyone has one! (Long shot) I bought the bass from Shockwave with the pickup already installed, and I'm sure he can vouch that it's a great pickup and does just fine in the SR, it's just that I'm very fussy

Virtual Insanity is on Travelling Without Moving, which was Zender's last album. He 150 million% played on this track, you can hear it by his style! It's just clean bass, with loads of compression. This album was very "produced".
Thats a blindingly good suggestion Higgie - I'd actually not considered that, cheers! Now how much are these trems...more effects porn to look at! When I first got the Meatwad and used it on it's own I would get a really loud hum, but when I used it in a pedal chain - so long as it wasn't the last pedal in the chain, it was fine. I contacted Mario who said it was a ground wire problem and he offered to repair it but it's never the last pedal in my effects chain anyway so it isn't really an issue.
Hi mate! The Valcoder is $139.99 + $20 shipping and duty charges from Tonefactor in the US. That's the place I'd recommend buying from! I've got one and I absolutely love it. The LED is white and superbright, and it interacts with the knobs, ie, depending on where the depth is set you get a really faint dimming, or complete on/off flashing, and it flashes in time with the rate, so you get a visual indication of your settings just from the LED alone
After spending much of my time time being a pedal board voyeur I think it's high time I got pics of my board on here. I'm reluctantly considering popping a cap in my bassdrive's ass - purely for size reasons. I actually love this pedal, specially on comp cut mode but I can squeeze another couple of pedals in it's place. One of them would have to be a replacement od/distortion and I'm thinking of going down the Hyperpak route so I can maximise the space I have left - which will hopefully be for a delay. I'm looking at a a carbon copy or a Boss dd? of some description. But then again I'm also thinking of getting a trem. So much gas, so little space - woe is me
You seem to be forgetting that Catalinbread do a Trem the size of a Hyperpak You could easily fit them both and a carbon copy in the space between the Fulltone and Wah.
