Been knocking around for years, but never had/tried one myself. Amazing designs and some great innovations too. I had a page showing some of them but now lost the bookmark ped

I have a 1/4" jack AND a 13 pin MIDI jack on my bass because it has the Roland GK system installed. I always use the 13 pin jack because it's a solid connection, though I think the cables are more delicate.

Really like that idea. The bids bit could be complicated but there's no reason why we couldn't have some stuff brought by members to sell. Only thing is I'm not sure how the organisers would feel about it, some shows prefer you to be selling new gear and sometimes you aren't actually able to buy at all at the show itself (think that was the situation last year?) Thanks for the suggestion though, if it's allowed I think it's a good plan!

I'm speaking to BGM this week so I'll get dibs on a table early. Probably have some free stuff, some merch, a bass or two and a cattle prod to scare off Dood when he overstays his welcome. Perhaps also a laptop so we can force people to sign up on the spot. Or else. ped

I think once we have the BC stickers in the shop in the next few weeks people could wear one on thier forehead or something. That might work. I'm also thinking about a BC branded lanyard with name tag holder for various BC events. Watch this space.

Apparently he's a very talented bassist and just does that kind of thing at shows because some people like it. Unfortunately any tight sweet bassline would be totally lost in the noise as previously mentioned so you're kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't to some extent. But yeah, enough! ped

I'll see if I can get hold of him for an update and let you know. Although the business is based on an online service some people don't always properly gauge the importance of forums and how the public (customers) use them. Perhaps the shift from printed media to online content was more difficult than expected in this respect. Cheers

Just got back from the show. Was only able to stay for a few hours but spoke to all the people I needed to and met a few BCers too. Really good vibe at the show and although it was smaller than I expected the quiet sessions seemed to work pretty well. Got some great contacts and new ideas in the pipeline. Next year I'll try and have a stand so we can all meet up there at some point. Most random thing happened afterwards though. Just drove back to have lunch in Marlow with my BC book keeper Dave and we were spotted by a BCer who was in Pizza Express for his sisters birthday. I'm really sorry I have forgotten your username but it was great of you to come and say Hi! Give me a shout if it was you and I'll send you a present. Cheers

Well I haven't heard anything about it being 'dead', but I haven't heard anything to the contrary either, unfortunately. All I know is that they didn't want an advert on BC this month...

Turns out you pre-book the parking at the venue so I'll just do that I think. Waiting to hear how my mates operation goes and weather I'll be attending on Sat or Sun as a result. As soon as I know, I'll book. I think it's well worth the price to avoid the never ending trudge from train to train in the pouring rain. Nothing like getting into your own car after a long day at a bass show!! ped

In terms of stickers, I'm back to square 2 as the samples weren't good enough so I'm looking for another supplier for those. I want them to be right and the supplier who made the samples has pretty much ignored my designs and sizes so I'm walking away! Hm, £26 for open air car park near the centre... might just have to do that, REALLY can't stand tubes/trains/buses!

What's the parking like at the venue? I can't do multi story car parks so looking for recommendations nearby? ped

BTW not sure which day I'll be there yet as David my friend/BC book keeper is having a tooth operation on Friday so hopefully he'll be OK for Saturday otherwise we'll do Sunday!
