  1. Congrats it’s a nice place to be, to know that you’ve found a suitable bass after trying loads out. What strings are you using in your Musicperson?
  2. Tbh I think ‘The One’ happens over time and naturally despite what you think it will be based on specs and price. The One is the bass you know inside out, have used live and in the studio, you’ve learned it so well that you can hear it in your head and know how it’ll sound every time.
  3. I bought one of these recently after seeing some excellent demos online. It arrived today but the envelope side of the pedal makes a scratchy fuzzy racket. It’s a shame because the pedal sounds great on the demos. I also note that the dry bass sound doesn’t come through when using the envelope so maybe something has come loose inside. Ive requested a refund (bought via Reverb) so we’ll see what happens.. Here’s the demo anyway: Real shame it’s broken - doubt it would be easy to repair?!
  4. I don’t talk to mine
  5. It’s all foreign muck as far as I’m concerned 🤭 😂
  6. Sorry it's hard to see in first pic, yes I need centre positive
  7. Thanks, I'll measure the connector etc. In the meantime I've emailed Backbeat to see if they can recommend a suitable UK one.
  8. No it was used and probably from the US. I don’t mind using an adapter as it fits in the case with the US plug better but if I’m going to leave it plugged in at home somewhere out of the way then the superior UK plug gets a thumbs up. No biggie if it’s going to be complicated which it sounds like it will be!
  9. Hi John yes it works fine but looking for a uk equivalent
  10. Hi folks Ive got this adapter for charging my Backbeat. I have to use an adapter for a UK plug. Is there a UK equivalent that won’t explode in my face? Cant see anything that matches exactly on eBay. 14v 1.2A
  11. Try this https://www.fender.com/online-guitar-tuner/bass-guitar-tuning
  12. As soon as I can get down to accessorise I’m getting that and some glitter
  13. Cables installed with some cable tidy to keep it neat. Works great!

I think you bought it in 2007? Great you’re still enjoying it. The switch mod sounds great; does it select the front or rear coil?
  15. It's always difficult to find something to do with the kids
  16. No dealers in Greece?

@BassBunny has my old BB75 which was a superb bass in all respects. It had to be sent away for fixing because I think the truss rod broke (I can't actually remember) and so Marleaux fit a new neck and did a refinish - now it's a very unusual one-off bass! It was extremely nice to play, balanced perfectly and had a very flexible array of sounds. I only sold it because I kept buying and then selling five strings, feeling more at home on a 4.
  18. I don't think Hiscox do rectangular bass cases though?
  19. You can manage your attachments here https://www.basschat.co.uk/attachments/ It’s advisable to use something like imgur or img but to host ‘random’ pictures Video - upload to YouTube and paste the link here which will embed the video Cheers
  20. These only mute open strings though 👍
  21. Try a wanted ad here, too
  22. I’ve only just realised the pickups are hum cancelling. Very useful. I’ll record something with the back pickup soon which sounds incredibly fat!

Sorry that was just a noise
  25. Sorry didn't see this. Thanks, it’s a great backing track to play to. I wanted to do a simple but phat line and work on getting the levels sounding right which I think sounds ok now. When I actually record though the backing is too loud so I’ll have to play with the settings a bit. It’s just my VB99 into GarageBand via USB. Using a bit of compression and reverb as normal. Cheers 🥂 Oh here’s the track if you fancy playing along:
