1.
Hi Dave Each pickup has it's own split on its respective volume control so you can run any combination of humbucker & single coil. With both pickups in single coil mode it does sound very much like EMG's J pickup set, a favourite of mine. Oddly enough i had comtemplated the exact same thing but the delivery time & lack of a discount steered me to this one. I can't say i was disapointed, it is a very versatile setup, I particularly like the bridge in singlecoil & neck in humbucking which is very full sounding but with a bit of Jazz like honk.
Do you have anything recorded with the bass?
2. OMG! Such a killer bass at a killer price. Garry is one of my main inspirations, and this bass sounded really great during the two shows last summer in Gothenburg.
3. I bought Chris' pink Maruszczyk jazz bass. It arrived in perfect condition to Sweden in just three (working) days. An absolute pleasure to deal with. If anyone is looking for a great seller that can ship abroad from the UK, Chris is your man!
4. Polytune has my Peterson strobe app beaten. It tunes perfectly for me, which the Peterson doesn't.
5. I sure do, it is in my avatar. I ordered it just for the reason of wanting a "main, do-it-all bass".
6. Man that is one nice bass at a nice price. The 32" scale makes it even sweeter. My custom bass (see avatar) has 32", and IMO I think it makes for a lively instrument. Colour is great too. I wish I could justify getting another bass
7.
After withdrawing this for a while, once again back up for sale. £750 for the preamp.
Hey Kev, Sam from the Warwick forum here. I recently missed a deal of a lifetime on a complete Hellborg system sold in Sweden. The buyer in that deal said he might sell the poweramp (Hellborg Stereo) and cab, but keep the preamp. If and when that happens (could be anytime soon or never, quite frankly), I might be interested in this. Sorry for being so vague
8. Ok, no problem. I already found and bought myself a bass.
9. According to the Warwick website they are SC.
10.
I really like the look of these (apart from the nasty Warwick paddle headstock). However the only one I've been able to play felt (to me) horrible. However I'm liking the sound clip that you posted (surprisingly twangy for a semi-acoustic fitted with humbuckers?) so maybe I should give one another go - if I can find one to try in the UK.
Yeah, the pickups are great. Twangy like single coils, but fat like humbuckers.
11.
That looks very nice. What's the balance/neck-dive like?
Very balanced, no dive. Have yet to try it with a strap.
12. Actually it IS an mp3, but the forum converts it. Try using Firefox, I know IE and Safari has troubles downloading the attachments.
13. Haha, I pressed enter when posting tags, better now XD
14. So yesterday I purchased this beauty: Pro Series Starbass. Here is the sound, completely unprocessed through an Apogee Jam in garageband.
15.
Different one Sam, it's not number 142
Oh, I see. Still want it To thread starter: I don't have Dolphin for trade. Any chance of a sale?
16.
I'm sure that could be arranged! I'll check how much delivery to Sweden would be when I get home and will drop you a PM with the details mate
Much appreciated
17. Gorgeous bass in spectacular condition. I don't think you can get a better 6-string for this price. The early TRB:s with NT construction, they have something special.
18. Had it just been a 4-string. Great looking bass!
