  1. By Grabthar's hammer ...
  2. Giving up on pedalboard, too many things for me to worry about! T-Rex Fuel Tank - power supply, very good condition plus all leads etc (cost me £79 new) Smoking' Amp Co Ginger Overdrive (modelled on Ampeg fliptop) - literally brand new (cost me £100 plus import), arrived from US this week Korg Pitchblack tuner - good, used condition (cost me £58 new) Rothwell Love Squeeze compressor - good, used condition (cost me £75 s/h) EHX Bass Clone chorus - used, good condition (cost me £67 new) Radial Stagebug passive bass DI - brand new, unopened in box (cost me £69) All come with velcro on rear, except unopened Stagebug bass DI. To acquire these pedals individually (even allowing for second hand status), would probably set you back around £300 - take this off my hands for £240 posted in UK. Really CBA selling individually, so looking to sell the lot and you can then sell on what you don't want/need and end up quids in. NB, am keeping Pedaltrain Nano as the padded bag may come in useful at some point for bass gear - but if this is a dealbreaker, I will throw this in for another £25 on top.
  3. Its a lovely bass although it feels quite 'new' still - my old '71 Mustang was much more 'comfy' and worn-in for want of a better phrase
  4. I now have a hard ABS case that fits the bass so will throw that in for the same price
  5. I don't think I could cope with two necks on a bass. Lets face it, I am barely competent on one. I look forward to your gig shots with this 😁
  6. What a unique and amazing score, Jack
  7. An old ad for this very bass http://www.lowendbassshop.com/node/21963
  8. Hey Alan, a few months of lockdown have made me think more closely about what I actually need ... I was up to 7 basses and a double bass by May/June. I sure as heck hope my gigging days are not over but they will likely be few and far between for the foreseeable, so I have to be realistic. If this lovely CB goes, I will be down to 3 basses and a DB.
  9. I bought this beautiful piece of luthiery in April from Alan aka wright/watt but have since decided that I will probably never play fretless electric bass live. Its too good a bass for the occasional 5 minutes of home noodle so I am looking to pass it on for the utter bargain price that Alan offered to me, which is £800. 32" medium scale, weighs 8.2 pounds, ebony board, superb woodworking on the neck joint. Since buying it, I have added some nice (pricey) black nylon La Bella tape wound strings for a woodier sound and a smooth feel. Does not have a dedicated gigbag or hardcase but I will find something if shipping is needed. Pick up from London or delivery at cost Alan's thread (ignore title, its lined with side dot markers on the fret positions):
  10. bought a lovely old bass from Ash and, as per the comments above, the whole process was faultless from start to finish. Highly recommended
  11. Patrick bought my gorgeous 71 Mustang bass. Always friendly and helpful in the whole process, I cannot recommend him highly enough. Cheers!
  12. As above, all good (nice solid cable), many thanks!
  13. Bill just bought my surf green Precision and was a gent throughout. Highly recommended. ATB Clarky
  14. Try as I might I simply cannot get on with the chunky neck. Shame as its such a beauty. FS only, no trades
  15. Its a wonderful bass alright but my Serek fulfills the same role (and a bit more with its in-built fuzz switch!)
  16. And sold pending the usual
  17. Having acquired a Serek s/s bass I am moving on my fabulous 1971 Mustang. Weighs fractionally over 7 pounds, wearing La Bella Mustang strings (slick as heck) and gorgeously mojo'd. Comes with padded Gruv Gear Edge bag (cost me over £100). Pics here:
  18. Back up FS to pay for stuff (no trades). £2100 ono plus delivery
  19. I have had two offers to buy, so let me see where that ends up. But for now *on hold*
  20. back up. Needs must and cut to £750 plus post
  21. Very helpful, thanks! It sounds like a good passive DI (Radial Stagebug perhaps?) would probably work for me as an always-on-pedalboard option.
