1. Sosososo Saturday bump
2. Hahaaa! Sosososo full of sh&@
3. Hey Shockwave, the Bass Gallery has just posted up one of each model on its new rivals page
4. Ah OK, must just be Fender's UK site that has dropped it
5. Erm, I would check on that. The link to the Jazz is now defunct and I can't find mention of the bass on the Fender page listing the new FSR series
6.
I am on FB and this comes up: This content is currently unavailable
The page you requested cannot be displayed at the moment. 7.
The new Paolo Coelho. These words read almost like 'The Alchemist' in resonance and life-meaning
Only problem is I thought 'The Alchemist' was a right load of old bollocks
8.
Please, please, go out this weekend and meet people in real life. Come out of your Internet lives ....
The new Paolo Coelho. These words read almost like 'The Alchemist' in resonance and life-meaning
9.
Hahaa
Thats not a real word either. You must have drunk £450 of beer
10. Sosososo isn't a word
11. So sad. I am sat in a brothel, posting on my iphone while a score of Asian hookers cover me in snake oil and I've made a million pound profit on some baked beans I bought earlier. Who's the mug here?
12. You bought it for nothing then. Good score
13.
Oh, that's easy, him out of Secret Affair
Nah, Sting in Quadrophenia
14. The simplest thing is to amend your OP or close this and start a new thread after you have decided what your price is. If you join a forum and want to take advantage of it's favourable terms ( avoiding eBay/paypal fees) then you have to abide by the rules that clearly state that an auction is not acceptable. Personally, I believe in " my word is my bond" and if I had advertised at £400 and received an offer at that level I would have felt honour- bound to accept it. Whatever you decide, a back search of the For Sale forum will quickly tell you that previous transactions on Jaguars have not happened above £500. Edit: too late!
15. If you attend this gig you get the added bonus of meeting BC doyen and all round good bloke waynepunkdude
16. Bump for trade options ^^^^ Could also bundle together in a good deal with my 1990s G-K 200MB combo (the forerunner of the M150 'Microbass' combo range)
17. Update: I thought I would stick with this and bought the matching Rockbag off Thomann for transporting it http://www.thomann.de/gb/rockbag_rb23002.htm (£38 plus post). However, having tried it at rehearsal, I still prefer the absolutely transparent sound of my Acoustic Image Ten2 combo and so I am re-posting this for sale. I will do the combo plus Rockbag for £250 collected in London
18. Nice duo, covering Stingray and Jazz sounds
19. Don't need another bass but would potentially trade for US or CIJ Fender possibly with cash adjustment if appropriate
20. Adding to what Bob said, I put a Kent Armstrong mag p/u on my Kolstein so that I have the choice between piezo (a Planet Wing) or mag, depending on the venue/gig. The KA actually sounds quite woody and authentically double bass-y, certain it has more of a DB vibe than a fretless vibe.
21.
No.
Tough Monckyman, here's some more! Vicente Amigo again. This guy is (to use Mrs C's vernacular) bazzing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8IxZhxgnvw
22.
And when it finally fizzled to an end, there was a 2 hour drive home in the rain to look forward to.
Love it. I am curiously reminded of this fabulous scene from Father Ted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnZDI1slxMI
23. Was pointed to this by our guitarist. Its just beautiful. 'Nothin' by Townes Van Zandt, a deceased Texas folk musician. Has a real vibe of the Johnny Cash version of 'Hurt' but predates it by many years http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZcH2OOMV4A
24. If I am to offer a suggestion of a bass player whose style and tone I can't abide (and leaving aside Clutterbuckery as its just showing off at music shows) it would have to be Fieldy of Korn. I genuinely enjoy all sorts of bass playing from straight-ahead pumping 16th note punk (like DeeDee Ramone), to rock, to Motown, to walking jazz lines to Bernard Edwards-style funkiness but that awful cacophony of detuned slapping funk-rock is unlistenable to me Edit: he is of course richer and more famous than most of us on BC will ever be so my taste proves nothing!
25. Surprised I haven't been nominated yet. I'm enthusiastic but sh*t!
