OK gents, here are the costs. Nerdy spreadsheet alert. Edit: OK it doesn't paste properly but there is a proper nerdy spreadsheet to calculate everything! So for most people (2 clamps plus 90p post) its £9.80, for Steve its £16.45 (post was more as I had to use a small box to ensure no damage to the locking socket), for Owen (only one clamp) its £5.35 and for fatback (higher post cost to Ireland) its £11.10. Happy with paypal as gift. Will PM you all the address. I managed to get to Post Office at lunch time today and posted to all except Duncan/BassBod (your PM arrived just after I'd left for post office but yours will be posted tomorrow) and jwbassman (waiting on address). Back from game Long day, started at 4am. I now have addresses for thisnameistaken, owen, TheG and Mr_Bassman. So I need PMs with postal addresses from [s]BeerOfBass[/s], BassBod, jwbassman, [s]TPJ[/s], [s]fatback[/s] [s]and Steve[/s]. I will get back to each of you by PM once I've worked out cost and can confirm posting your clamps etc. I got a typically rubbish airport Euro/£ rate of 1.121 so it will be about £4.40-odd per clamp plus postage and the neutrik locking socket with clamp for Steve will be just over a tenner plus postage. Edit: now have TPJ, BeeroftheBass, Steve and fatback's addresses

Just landed in London. I have a bagful of clamps etc. Heading off to the match tonight so will probably post Frida or Saturdayy. If you could all drop me a PM with your postal addresses I will confirm what I have and the cost. Cheers Clarky

Double bass anyone? I have to have a car (or taxi). Its one trip with DB and another to get amp (combo or head +cab; preamp and leads stuffed into padded bag side pockets) plus DB stand. Trying to carry it all in one go is a recipe for disaster ... ie, smacking or snagging the DB on doorways or stairwells

Have you gone into your profile page and deleted old attachments (on the 'Manage your attachments' tab), making space for new ones?

Hey Chris, I was kind of hoping you'd be on earlier than that as I get up for work at 5.30am and Nambucca is an hour from where I live so I wouldn't get home until midnight or so. Best put me at 50:50. Any other BC'ers potentially going?

Nige and band (I'm sure Kit wouldn't want it put it like that, but I'm a bassist!) were excellent tonight - they were very good when I saw them before at the Half Moon a few months back but there was (even) more energy tonight. Very good and original band. Was also great to see Mrs silddx (Diane) out and about, despite her trials and tribulations

He does do mail order but the cost is prohibitive when buying a cheap item like this, which is why I offered. Gwaaan, do you want me to put you down for one or two?

Yowza. Thats sounds horrid! Hope it sorts itself quickly. FWIW, I fell down some stairs two weeks before my first ever gig on double bass (a couple of years back) and broke two metacarpals and dislocated/broke two fingers. Perhaps rashly I took the bandages/strappings off and played the gig. It can be done! Bloody hurt afterwards mind ... Anyways, rest, anti-inflammatories, ice and strapping and your Stingray playing days should return quickly

My only suggestion would be to lift the bass in the mix as I like the dubby line and its a little quiet to my ears. I think it would be more driving. Thats a very minor criticism though. Very good effort mate!
