1. Rosewood or Maple? Does it have the Fralins in it? Or the newer Lakland pickups... both good I hear.
2.
Cool Will get some photos up this weekend. On tour with Juliette lewis this week so won't get home til saturday
Yep I'm after another P - may consider Lakland - let's see the 'burst!
3. The new Fenders are fantastic but I've realised that a Precision only feels like a Precision to me when it has a 1.75" nut width. The new ones are 1.625" I think. I prefer the 62 reissues now. The new ones come with a great moulded case though. I think a P bass is very versatile - it's all in the setup and technique. I have flats and a mute on mine and while it may not do modern slap that well the mute is a fantastic device for clean studio tone. Play at the back for a picky 60s style or at the front for big round pillowy bass. It's all in there. I'm using La Bella 760FL and they are great for giving me what I think of when I think of bass. I find the versatility comes from the fingers not the tone knob.
4.
All will be revealed I'm sure in the fullness of time I pick mine up tomorrow...
Aha! Rocco Prestia - and it's more than a colour change. It's called the Staccato'51.
5. PM'd.
6. I have a mint IP112ER with cover that I am considering (only considering at this stage!) letting go. I may possibly revert back to standard amp/cab. What do you wish to pay for one? PM me if you wish to make me an offer. Things I may be interested in myself include: TC Electronic RH450, good playing vintage P bass with RW neck, another Berg cab or Roland Fantom XR rack synth. Thanks. Mark.
7. I have a mint Blueburst Ric 4003 that has only been taken out of it's case a couple of times but I'm looking for a tempting P Bass with RW neck not maple unfortunately. I have three P basses already so maybe a 59 CS or something else interesting?
8. LMIII = £586 here. http://www.electromusic.co.uk/product.php?...1008&page=1 They will get it in stock for you.
9. Thomann have been fine to deal with in my experience. Very polite and efficient. One thing to watch is the 30 day return policy they have. On the one hand it's great if you want to take a gamble on something but on the other hand - where do you think the returned stuff goes? Not everybody will treat it right before returning it. I got a Fender preamp from Thomann and it had no manual, nothing. And all the polystyrene packing was in bits. I guess you can't have it both ways. Most of my Thomann experinces have been positive.
