Hi, Which pro tuner will be good for intonation settings and for everyday use (home and gig)? I have my old Boss TU-12 but it's so old that it just break after 15 years or more now! I need something very accurate to set properly intotnation but also good for pedalbaord. It will be good to hold B and C string too. Thanks

I have started learning Forever by Haim, and omfg if this is grade 4 Trinity then I can't imagine getting much higher than this. I'd thought rhythms would come over easy from drums but this is taking some TIME to bed in the feel.

So, the ever present question: Do I sell all these bits of kit that I don't actually use anymore, or keep them on the off chance that a band (job) might require them in the future. I could do with the cash frankly, but the value of the kit could mean that if I buy again in the future, I could end up paying more in the long run. Hmmmmmm

I’ve often wondered if I’m turning into my dad, he has boxes and jars of screws and strangely shaped bits of metal, he’s keeping them; just in case. I have bags and boxes of cables, bits for microphones, memory cards, blank cassettes, guitar stands, strap locks, strings. I keep them in case they come in useful. They’re stashed away in cupboards and under beds.

Hi guys. Any thoughts about how to choose better pickup and electronics for my Ernie Ball Musicman StingRay 4 3band eq?
I want more mids and less treble than in factory pickup and electronics. Which one will be best in my case? There's so much options on market and I almost always bump my mids and cut some treble on my Stingray so I need something that it will be more transparent and flat sounding or at least more mids and less treble. Hello. Is there any studio/sideman bass player here?
I want to ask what producers and engineers want from bass players today. I mean which basses, amps, effects and all king of gear is a must for session/studio player to provide the best demanding sounds and effortless quality in the stage/studio? Really need to change my gear to be most versatile for any scenario as possible. Many thanks!

Follow someone like Dave Swift on Instagram. He posts details of his studio sessions most days, that'll give you an idea of what to expect. With regard to playing, they need you to nail the part as quickly as possible, maybe a couple of runs through first. You'll either be given chords written out, or maybe a part actually notated.

Is it not against the rules to post an item for sale on here asking for the buyer to send money through Paypal Friends & Family? If not, it should be!! I see at least 1 scammer get called out on Facebook per week and it's ALWAYS because the buyer sent payment through F&F.

Watch the Chernobyl TV mini-series. If you are 40 or over, you will probably recall seeing the news when you were young. You will want to see this series. It is very, very good. Moving and true to the events that shook the day and following years.

Another kebab fail. The situation is now at crisis point and threatening the very existence of the band.
Despite not having our inoculations and and having no pet passport for our guitarist we ventured to the
disputed border town of Earby in either Lancashire or Yorkshire, no one seems to know.
We got a fifty quid bonus and free beer and had a good night but it was sullied by the towns total lack of kebabery.
Another dash to a 24 hour Maccies saved us from a fate worse than a fate worse than death but this is now two
fails on the bounce and begs the question "what's the point of being in a band ? "

Buying a decent strap is harder than I thought. Most of the 'big' sites don't specify the width or padding, and there's so much tacky branded garbage out there that it's a pain to filter through everything!

I won an NI Komplete Kontrol S49 keyboard on eBay at 11am. Then 20 minutes later I get an email telling me that the seller has cancelled the transaction because the item is either out of stock or damaged. In other words it went for far less than he wanted. So my search continues.
