1. Hey guys, Well after purchasing a new amp, I now need to go through the laborious task of recovering some of the funds. Up for sale is my Boss Micro BR multi-track digital recorder. It's been a great bit of kit, I've owned it from new, and has done everything I could have ever wanted, and more (and even more than that, I just haven't learnt how to use all the functions!) Here's the Boss website for more info on it: http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=818 Check out the reviews: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...s/Micro+BR/10/1 (Or just Google "Boss Micro BR Reviews") Here's the specs in a nutshell: The World's Smallest Pro Studio Meet the ultimate palmtop guitar companion and recording studio. Only slightly larger than an iPod, the tiny-yet-powerful MICRO BR is a dream for musicians on the go. The MICRO BR offers four simultaneous playback tracks (plus 32 V-Tracks), MP3 compatibility, onboard multi-effects, built-in rhythm patterns, a tuner, USB, an SD Card slot, and more. No guitar case or gig bag should be without one! * Ultra portable, only slightly larger than an iPod * 4-track playback, 32 V-Tracks * Loads and plays MP3 files * Multi-effects onboard; dedicated guitar input * Time-Stretch and Center Cancel features (including MP3 files) * 293 rhythm patterns * Built-in tuner and microphone * USB port for data transfer * SD Card slot for recording media, 128MB card included This is a fantastic little device, read the reviews or watch the youtube vids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZtcqOab_Lo It's sustained a few scratches due to general use, and some of the silver paint is flaking off in a small area. This does not affect it's operation, it's just cosmetic. The MBR functions flawlessly. It comes boxed, with all manuals, a protective sleeve, and I'm also including a 1GB memory card that was not included when purchased. I bought this from GAK a few months ago for £160 http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/70523 I am asking for £100. PM me or Email me at [email protected] if interested. Buyer is welcome to collect from north London, or I will post via Special Delivery. 2. Hey guys, Well after purchasing a new amp, I now need to go through the laborious task of recovering some of the funds. Up for sale is my Stagg CA-20B practice amp. This was the first amp I bought, and it got me into bass. I think I bought it for around £80. Here's the specs: * 1 x 8"speaker (20.30cm) / 4 ohms * 2 inputs (separately adjustable) for guitar (electric/bass/lead) / keyboard / drum machine / mixer / cassette deck / cd player etc... * Controls: volume 1 & 2 * Equalization: low / middle 1 (medium low at 600hz) / medium 2 (medium high at 2kHxz) / high * Headphones & external speaker outputs * Covering: black vinyl * Size (H x W x D): 34 x 38 x 17.50 cm * Weight: 7.5kg It's a very high-quality practice amp that has served me well. You can get a variety of tonal options out of it, and it's surprisingly loud when you crank it. It has two imputs so you can jam along to an ipod, or plug in a guitar and bass at the same time if you want to have a jam with someone. It's in great condition, having never left my bedroom. Buyer is welcome to collect from London, or I can post at your expense. This amplifier has served me well and it's rather a shame to see it go, but I need to recover some funds. I'm looking to get £40. Cheers guys
3. Just bought a Shuttle 9.0 off him, posted it next day delivery. Great, easy guy to deal with, very friendly. Cheers mate
4.
Yep, a cabinet rated at 350W RMS will be fine being fed with an amplifier that can drive 370W RMS into an 8 Ohms load. It may be 20W more - but, the likelyhood of being able to play the amp constantly at 350W RMS is ..well.. you won't You can add a second 8Ohm cabinet to that channel at a later date. Thus the amp will be able to deal it the full 500W from said channel. You then have the option of doing exactly the same on the *other* channel: two 8 ohm cabinets will give you a 4 Ohm load on that channel too. Thus, you'll be making use of the full 1000W RMS - and it will go in to 4 cabinets. I think that would possibly upset your guitarist - but I think it would deliver some air movement! You can of course opt for ONE 4 Ohm cabinet per channel. I don't know if the LG1000 is 'bridgeable'. I suspect not, so I won't go in to that right now!
I run 900W through my 300W 2x10, and so long as I don't physically allow the drivers to jump out of the cab, its all good
5. Too late my friend, SOLD to baz pending payment
6. My GK 1001RB-II is in the for sale section, someone please take it off me! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=81854
7. The BIN price is not a particularly good deal. The head is very good, but the cabs are Backline and are not good, I imagine they wouldn't last too long with that head driving them.
8. Thanks, i value your opinion. I will try and test the RH if i can
9. Well i'm in drop C tuning, so it's quite deep already. I like a lot of definition but not too bright, I usually roll the tweeters on my cab down a bit. I like the tone flea gets. i've got a GK 1001RB-II at the moment which gets me the sound I like, but its a bit too heavy to carry around everywhere (its in the f/s section)
10.
I had the Shuttle 9.0 for about 48 hours. It had a problem with the chassis, but I still managed to test it. Definitely not for me...no warmth and too clinical for me. Very bright and pingy. Didn't feel that loud. RH450 is opposite...warm, fluid, full, tubey (ish).
What type of music do you play? I'm in a funk rock band and play a lot of aggressive slap, so I'm not sure if a warm amp is what im after
11.
I completely agree. I expected a more processed sound but it was the opposite. After trying the Shuttle 9.0 before hand, this amp was exactly what I was after. Mine has an issue with the power socket in the back which is causing other problems (the cord just almost falls out which is a bit worrying) but TC is has been very good with the warranty and they are sending a new unit. Other than that, which I presume is just my bad luck, the amp is spot on. I cant really use mine until the new one arrives so Im without it for a bit, but this has just proved to me that TC are one of those companies its safe to buy from and be looked after.
I'm thinking about getting the RH450 or the Shuttle 9.0, do you know how they compare to eachother? cheers
12.
Ok no worrys, just thought it would be ideal as only 9kg 26cm x 39cm comes in a posh soft case bit like carrying a laptop and has a massive 800w into 4 ohm output! in excellent condition, I will be putting up for sale on here shortly. Hope you get what your looking for soon.
At 9kg its about the same as the GK, i'm looking for something under 4kg. cheers
