2. My band six sins till Sunday and 4 others are playing a free entry show at the underground in Plymouth tonight! Lots of metal ranging from my bands groove/stoner to thrash https://www.facebook.com/events/420995411443602/ Great night to be had if you are around! Andy
3.
Its interesting that you ask that actually as I was looking for the same information before buying it. Personally, I am really impressed with the depth of the reverb. Its obviously not got the lushness of the Eterna but is more than useful for most applications and the spring reverb makes an interesting complement to the Eterna. Interestingly, I have just found a way of setting it up so that it can be used solely as a reverb pedal which opens up yet more options on an already feature laden pedal. This is particularly useful if you have the favorite button so you can go between just a spring reverb sound to the full on delay (with or without reverb) at the press of a switch.
I did this with my el cap and favourite switch
4.
Just popped my fuzzrocious cherry
Good choice with the stache!
5.
I think I would like a Fuzz with octave up, as opposed to just the dirtiness caused by the analogue up. Will look into the You're Doom & the Hoof Reaper, although the HR is a little large. Will explore the MXR Sub-Machine a little further too. Cheers Si
If you dnt need the sub look at the la machine aswell same thing with out the sub circuit
6.
Sounds to me like you need a ProcCo TurboRat!
Yep turn up the filter and your good Andy
7.
A quick search tells me the LFO can sync to midi clock. The rate LED turns yellow when this is happening.
What he said
8. Anyone use midi with these? Thinking it could be cool to set a side clean and other super filth. There's a chance I maybe getting on soon
9.
I'm thinking sub-£100! Ha ha would love Moog shizzle but too rich for me at the moment
Yeh it's a bit pricey Maybe try the minifooger?
10. I've got a moog clusterflux sounds amazing on bass fat and full, and can also go crazy!! Also have a cog effects chorus based on the boss old brown chorus that sounds really nice however I just use the moog as its just so good. Andy
11.
Okay, so the Moog itself doesn't have any presets. But each parameter responds to midi. So, depending on the midi controller, I imagine you tweak the parameters of the Moog to your liking (using the controller), then save those settings as patch/preset 1. Then fiddle around again, and save as patch 2. Each time you select a present, the controller sends an instant message to the Moog setting all its parameters in a particular way. Does that sound like what you're trying to do?
im getting a buzz electronics 8 channel midi looper, yeh the moog doesnt have presets so would be sending cc commands to change as many of the settings as are needed which would be saved to a preset. was hoping however i could save the guessing at setting and that i could save the dial positions........looks like its the first one.
12. still looking for help with this if pos the midi set up would be timeline into big sky into moog from my controller which is coming soon. im pretty sure the strymon will say the preset there on when the patch is saved on the looper however i dnt exactly get still how bar guessing to set up the moog. any midi guys out there who can help? ive asked moog and they just sent me the manual which i already have. Andy
13. For me the tarkin from cog needs to be on that list, awesome deep and punchy fuzz, also love the fuzzrocious grey stache. And very recently got myself a pumpkin pi from green carrot which is brutal! Bit of a plug but I demo all of the one I mentioned in this video http://youtu.be/7cCnca6K5bw However of the ones you've mentioned I've heard good things about the tall font and the swollen is a really cool fuzz
14.
Isn't this supposed to be very responsive to volume / EQ input and playing dynamics? Maybe thats just how to validate a no knob pedal, but did you find this to be the case?
yes, is if you play light theres less of a pronounced octave, if you feed it with overdrive or fuzz you get the really heavy octavia kinda sound. im going to do a part two where i put it before everything. Andy
15. no worries man!
16.
Cheers for this. I had no idea it would be quite that mind boggling. This solution may be a bridge to far.
yeh and im not even sure that with leads plugged in the delays loop it would work if they werent connected, but by the time you factor even cheap aby's buying a second pedal is probs cheaper. Andy
17. the only way i can think of wiring that up would be to use a few aby boxes, if you thook a line from the out of the pedal in the chain into the aby, a outlet going an aby then to the mod pedal then out of the mod into another aby. then the a back to the next pedal in the chain. then the b into the effects loop on the delay ( ie you can pick where the mod goes chain or loop) then you would need to take the first aby's b back to the next pedal in the chain, where you now have 2 cables flip the another aby so you you have a and b as inputs and y as your out into the pedal. then out of your loop on the delay you do a similar to the aby we took the the a outlet of the first aby into, use y as the outlet and a and b as the inputs. ive attached a pic there maybe an easier way but to switch it from loop to in the chain takes 4 aby's so probs easier to buy a second modulation to put in the loop
18.
Seems to add a huge amount of gain to the clean signal.
Yeh it's really also a light overdrive
19. Little demo showing a few sounds from the tentacle http://youtu.be/tUsYTg9ZJ6o Andy
20. A little bump These two aren't quite interchangeable but depending on my mood can easily use either of these as my octave fuzz. Andy
21. ive messaged malekko about trying some of the stuff. also funny story on my gig on sat hit the forumla with the octave from my redwitch zeus, and the sound guy had to run over as it was about to blow up the pa! the place was shaking!!!!!
22. Practice mate sadly, I'm trying to get it down aswell and it just takes time
23. Simplified the board a bit for a busy weekend gig, also got around to finally getting rid of all the crap patch leads and put in some custom ones to make things a bit tidier andy
24. Couldnt resist this one when i saw it in the classifieds! holy crap! what a bloody beast of a fuzz! so big and fat and with the compression dial its a very versatile fuzz as well! and the sound when i fed it into my Vulcan XL was stupidly good! ok maybe not the most defind sound ever but the most crazy heavy sound with a proper bite!! straight on the board for my gig this weekend! Here's a link to the video demo showing some of the sounds http://youtu.be/eemLLWwInr4 Andy
