1. I use a Origin Cali76 Bass Compact atm amazing but sadly a bit above your price range, does add something to the tone tho so not transparent, the cheap boss lmb isnt that bad actually just leave the enhance knob off! Andy
2.
Updated my pedalboard, now looks like this:
is the xp200 still original? or have you had it turned into a space station? nice board tho dude Andy
3. The eqd's pedals are mad, the tentacle is awesome! Also maybe tryout a tremolo love how they sound on bass
4. And here as promised is part 2! This time it's before the drives http://youtu.be/QHltKmEGcMk Andy
5. For me it's all down to what you hear? The hartke at the front seems the norm, if it's time shaping and not for drive however if you want the other effects in the di to foh then maybe the end is better, I prefer flanging drive and driving chorus, so I have my cog chorus before my drives/fuzz and my mood cluster flux after. All down to how it sounds to you as the chorus even on a heavier setting before a drive isn't as noticeable. All down to ears tho, with the boss Lmb-3 id say try it after drive and before and see how it effects the feel, maybe not a massive change in sound but as with comps it's sometimes more a feel thing Andy
6. willing to trade for something interesting, but would rather sell Andy
7. So here's my demo of the fuzzrocious feed me, also in the video is the fuzzrocious Cicada and Pike Vulcan XL http://youtu.be/zKnrmb3h_Ik Andy
8.
Is the acapulco gold similar to the speaker cracker?
its meant to emulate the power section drive from a sunn model T when its cranked andy
9. i used a mesa Flux drive for a while and the low end loss wasnt to bad at all, not the v twin obviously
10.
I love the look of that custom Cat Tail! Can we be expecting any videos/audio with it soon?
indeed will get a video up soon.
11. exciting day as had a few things ive been waiting for turn up. got myself a acapulco gold from earthquaker, really interested to hear this cranked into my ctm! and then we have my custom from fuzzrocious, its one of there Kaeden drive into a clean boost and then into a cat tail with a clean blend. cant wait to get them plugged in!
12.
Difficult... top five as in most influential? Favourite players or best from a technical point of view? I could do three lists in that case! Assuming it is a combination of favourites (with respect to tone, note choices and style) and most influential... and in no particular order: Geddy Lee Jean-Jacques Burnel Bruce Thomas Tony Wall Mark King Bruce Foxton (yes, I know that's 6!). I am very much a child of the late seventies/early eighties!
inspired you to play! as skill full is way to subjective!
13.
Without giving it too much thought Justin Chancellor Jeff Caxide Geezer Butler Paul Turner Bernie Edwards Edit: Upon greater reflection, Alex Webster, Rex Brown, Troy Sanders, Martin Mendez, Shawn Malone, Stuart Zender, Caleb Schofield and Juan Alderette could all easily make the list too depending on my mood.
i could probs come up with another 10, was gonna put a honourable mention bit at the end of the video but figured it was better being short and just sticking to 5
14. Did this little video for my channel, Just wondering what other people's are as its a really cool way of finding new music! http://youtu.be/z4fWHOGgMnQ Andy
15. Hi guys hate doing this as im sure ill regret this as soon as i do it! but need to thin the herd slightly first up is a trusty old proco rat, comes with adaptor so it can take a standard 9v looking for Sold next up we have one of my all time faves! the Fuzzrocious Rat Tail this has the second distortion mod and diode switch. £95 posted and this one is yours you can see both the pedals in action here https://www.youtube....h?v=BWu_OO1oVMo ok next up we have the Formula 76 by solid gold effects, this fuzz is awesome its just not getting the love it should so feel its better for someone else to have it! looking for Sold heres a demo so you can see it. https://www.youtube....h?v=eemLLWwInr4 nearly there now these last two are just bits that i phased out they are a bright onions blender, basically a small blender with a phase switch really helps you basically use any drive pedal you want and not lose your low end! this has one knob rather than the newer two knob version http://www.brightonion.co.uk/blenders/ £30 posted for that one And finally ive got my Strymon Favourite switch, use this with some of the strymon stuff to basically give you a second setting or for others an external tap tempo. comes with original strymon lead £25 posted. can get pictures if needed but everything is in very good nick and is well looked after. Andy
16. i did a more in depth video of the tk421x where i move some of the internal switches https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkrnlqDjqSI
17.
"New" Music? They been around for over twenty years. Glad to see Radio 1 still has it's finger as far as ever from the pulse of modern music.
It's because they have a new album hence new music. But yeh should be on the main stage really but still. Real shame was only a 40min set as obviously fans of biffy would go and see Coldplay?
18. So happy to see Biffy back even if it was on the In new Music we trust stage! love there new stuff! and james sound is huge! http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p03tynv1/bbc-radio-1s-big-weekend-2016-biffy-clyro#group=p03w4p0w Andy
19. nothing wrong with ss amps i loved my old markbass lm2 but valves have a sound and putting drives on top of driven tubes sounds amazing. not saying the class d stuff sounds bad, but also alot depends on the cab aswell ive tried really small 112's and it just doesnt sound as big as i want, not tried any barefaced cabs but my current 810 is my favourite cab, massive mid punch! low mids for me is where the punch/heft is. Andy
20. Damn it! will be back if the Skate fuzz is still there in a few weeks! Andy
21. finally got around to putting a video up with the timeline, as the video says i have a fuzzrocious tremorslo in the effects loop so i can use other delay types and get trem on them rather than only having the trem delay setting on the timeline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NaeqwChl_4
22.
my latest pedal board all the custom paint work n hydro dipping done by me
that m5 looks wicked!! Andy
23. my board for practice tonight!
