1. Is it worth if ppl are bringing stuff to say what there bringing or not?
 2.
Standard tuning, low b to g, nothing weird at all, preamp generally flat or slightly bumped mids...
nothing wrong there then, ive only tried the octave on a standard tuned four string, so not sure how it handles the low b. is strange how for it to sound ok you need to have extreme settings on it tho!? as ive said before have you tried it of the board? andy
 3.
So...I've reordered the chain to be: Tuner>OctaMizer>tlc>sft>ppb>bmc>unichorus Which sounds way better to me. ...I've found and replaced a very dodgy georgeL (with a cheap thing that'll do for now) interconnect which cured most of the dreadful noises ...and following that I have to have the OctaMizer's octave filter hard left to avoid farty noises if I play hard Am not entirely set on this order as I can't use the OctaMizer and ppb at the same time cos the ppb doesn't like the octaved signal and goes into mega mush... ...more tinkering required...and some new georgeL cable too
do you play in a weird tuning? or a drop tuning can't, has the new order made the tlc behave? andy
 4.
Corrected I stand......
sorry if i sounded harsh bud andy
 5.
I may be wrong on this, but don't swr do an amplite that can run with the headlite? I think the amplite is 400w also, so it should give you 800w total. Also the barefaced cabs use really high sensitivity drivers so it won't take as much wattage as you would think to drive them properly. Check out their website as the do publish the tech data and provide a recommend amp power value ie between 150-1200w as opposed to a rating for the cab itself.
a very common mistake, the amplite is a seperate poweramp you cant combine it with the headlite to make more watts. so at 8 ohms the amp will be giving 320w or somewhere around there which alex said wnt drive the big baby properly so im wondering what kinda poweramp would drive it properly im guessing something around 500-600w? hoping to maybe try a few barefaced cabs out soon. andy
 6.
Haven't tried it not attached to the chain but even when it's the only thing on it's fartypants...
again i doubt it will make a dif but i'd take it of the board completely and run it using a 9v and see it it works, i doubt that any of the effects after it would cause a problem tho as they arent acting on the pedal! andy
 7.
Am having a bit of bother with my 2 aguilar pedals just now... I got my TLC to have as an 'always on' sound conditioner and is basically set to the minimum compression settings so it should just be squeezing my signal ever so slightly, if I play fingerstyle though it's farty/distorty so am having to just use it for any slapped passages... My Octamizer sounds wicked unless I have my BMC on which gives a slight mid bump not dissimilar to if I bump the mids on my bass' preamp... I can move the BMC to after the Octamizer which will probably fix that problem but the TLC still sounds farty nasty even on the minimum settings, what am I doing wrong? Is there some internal headroom issue with Aguilar pedals? I could move the TLC to be immediately after my tuner (ie second in the chain) removing any dirt from before it but even with the dirtboxes off it sounds the same so I wouldn't imagine that would help? other useful info...I mostly play my Lakland 55-02 and use OBBM cables, when all the effects are off everything sounds lovely and clean through my Genz/Epi setup so there has to be some kind of issue with the pedals/order
i know its like telling someone to suck eggs but im guessing it works on its own yeh? andy
 8. well my van does have 3 seats but you wouldnt want to drive to far so its best if i take 1 person, im happy to take so gear aswell all id ask is for some fuel for the trip. andy
 9.
No worries, I'll bring my Super15 Andy.
possible date in title now guys too andy
 10.
Well, That was more difficult than I expected. I some how forgot where all the notes were on the fretboard and got lost a lot. By the time I clock what chord the rhythm guitarist is playing and transpose it to my bass the bloody chord changes, and he did not come with a pause button. A bit disappointed in myself to be honest. I could have done with an extra brain. They seemed to be a good bunch of chaps though. Still, I must have done ok as I have been invited back on wednesday for another session. My head is mashed and my fingers are ripped to ribbons.
Im crap at learning riffs/songs like that id much prefer that they just srote stuff down and gave me a cheat sheet. Sounds like your doing well tho dude
 11. just found this pic and thought id update this thread, guessing this is his board for "the hunter" album, with it having the tc gear on it.
 12.
ok.... this might be a really stupid question... but isn't your amp small enough you could just take it with you and swap it for the other amp- or if you can't just use it as a preamp?
not a bad shout that to be fair.
 13.
can't fault me for trying it's only got one that says "compression" on it! If I were looking for a compression pedal a the trace elliot SMX pedal would be high on the list...
not at all
 14.
http://www.ovnilab.c...ossclones.shtml
so it wnt be great then coz im tuned to d standard and also do a few drop c songs? andy
 15.
compression pedal? (or, cheekily my bass pod has a pretty decent compressor on it...... even if you just used it for that and DI. Though if you were using someone else's amp you could plug it in thier effect return and use it as a pre amp..... oohh look I have one for sale ) though I'm sure there are other pedals - part of it will be the "sound" of the amp too.
yeh i now i need a comp pedal, but i dnt want one with loads of knobs on it! was hoping id be able to find something with similar presets. what the dyna comp like on bass? andy
 16. im up for either idea bud, ill bring my gear either way, nothing compared to most but might interest someone? hopefully theres a few guys with some barefaced who wanna come to? andy
 17. nice bass shep but the piece between the pups takes away from the body for me! but amazing bass hope its worth the wait dude andy
 18. as you can see from my sig ive got an swr headlite. well this past week my metal band hhad its first gig and i had to use the venues backline, wasnt at all bad was a hartke xl 410 and a gk backline 600(i think?) problem is i realised how much the compressor in the headlite helps me get a more tight tone. so im wondering if theres a pedal version? or something close to it? hopefully nothing to in depth i mean the headlite is just a one knob comp so ideally be looking for something similar as im guessing the attack and realise on the headlite are preset? im mainly thinking if i have to use someone elses amp i can dial in a bit of comp. andy
 19.
I could potentially be up for this too, i'm Plymouth based...would be great to share lifts etc.
id be up for sharing the driving? andy
 20. hi guys im looking for good mastodon tabs. ive tried ultimate guitar and they have quite a few but the more i look for what i want they dnt seem to fit, im mainly looking for tabs from there latest album "the hunter" the main tab i want is black tongue. ive tried looking on youtube videos but everyone seems to be showing it played up the neck and some of the parts sound off, just wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction other wise it looks like ill have to spend ages working it out!! thanks for any help you can offer, really just wish that there was a tab book like there is for crack the skye andy
