1. I put some barts in mine, but it didn't make much difference i didn't think....
2. I know what you mean, that new one looks NASTY
3. Are sure they're one piece? One piece bodies are pretty rare, and i've heard the bookmatching over at EBMM is amazing!
4. This looks rather cool, if i was kev, i'd be rather jealous that his isn't coming along as fast! Although it can never have a name as cool as the "spoombung" bass
5. You're right, that does look pretty f***ed! haha And i'm not sure that your plan with the jack is gonna work because you'll be using a stereo jack with a mono lead/input into your amp, so one of your pickups won't work. You're best off soldering them both to the tip part of the output jack so they'll both work, though obviously you'll have no control tonally.
6.
Sam - hope you're bringing the $$?! I'd like to have a go on it again for old time's sake!
Definitely I'd like to bring the frankenSUB too, but i doubt it will be in working order by then...
7. Ooh very nice, shame it doesn't have a two piece bridge though they look so much classier. I've always fancied a les paul bass though
8. Good lad! I just recently got a corvette $$ (mine is the right way round though ), and i have to say, it's a beast!
9. Played one of them once, really nice basses for the cash
10. Looking rather cool!
11. That's not too bad a price
12. Check the link in the first post guys
13.
Just out of curiosity, was that for the whole rig?
Yeah, or at least that's what they were asking at SC notts, did you pay a bit too much? IMO, they're worth more than that anyway, they're loud little things
14. Haha that's cool, i wanted one of them for a while, tried one out, not a bad amp! Certainly worth the hundred smackers sound control was selling them for.
15. Woahhhhh that bass is nuts!
16. I've seen it before a couple of times, kinda clever i guess
17. Dayum! You run that guitar head through the bass cab? That's one hell of a sweet looking setup!
18.
It certainly taught me I need to practice playing and dancing at the same time ;-) I dropped quite a few bummers for the sake of showmanship! No-one seemed to mind much though, that's no excuse of course.
Been there, done that, kind of embarassing
19. i tend to lose myself to the drums, i just concentrate on them, i know exactly what i should be playing, and if a guitarist messes up keep going, the drummer won't wait for them to catch up! I tend to get to the point where i sort of drift off elsewhere if i really know what i'm doing and before i know it, the gig is over! It's kind of disappointing! Oh yeah, i tend to take notice of the vocals too, just so i know where in the song we are!
20. Ah well, if it's not sold in a few weeks, i may look you up.
21. Not interested in trades then mate?
22. Yeah, i do see your point. The thing is, i'd like to go and try some stuff, but barely any shops stock good amps.
23. Stagg BC300 P/J config, got it for free off a friend who decided to lend it to me for whatever reason. I then bought it off him a while later, and sold it to another friend. I could probably still get it back if i wanted. I'm pretty sure he still has it.
24. like i say, i got by with 180W of power playing in drop C, some extra headroom would have been nice, but i'm more after tone than power right now, so paying another £100 for 500W more power doesn't make a great deal of sense in my situation.
