1.
Without a doubt: A Classic 50 Fender Precision. Made in Mexico, but nothing like the standard MIM range. I bought one in October last year and I barely touch anything else since. Fantastic basses.
+1 Brilliant basses. Every bit as good as a USA. Haggle on a Squier JV too if you can, better than USA in my humble opinion...

 7. Sent an amp from Blackburn Lancashire to the Isle of Wight yesterday. The courier (DCS) was a bit late and picked it up just before 5pm. It arrived in the Isle of White this morning and was signed for by 11.39am! Surely thats got to be some sort of record!
 8. There's not enough photographs for my liking

 12.
I just love that explosion of chisel stabs on the back ... entirely natural, utterly convincing. Incidentally, if you want to know what one of these really looks like after nearly 60 years, here's my '57: http://s1128.photobu...01957%20CURRENT
If you run yours over with a combine harvester and then bury it in gravel for two and a half thousand years, it would still look better than that monstrosity! You have a very nice bass by the way...
 13.
Ask the guy for pics without the tape and get a nice close up of the headstock
What the hell have they done to the headstock! Zoom in on the image. It looks like they've painted over a pilchard! What a mess!

 15.
He says "i am not a dealer this is my new baby but my missis is making me sell it to take her on holiday , women eh you gotta love em" Once she saw it, I'm not surprised! And I see he's including the polishing cloth, what on earth would that be used for?
The cloth would be to wipe your eyes with...
 16. Thanks everyone for the interest but they are now sold and off to Cardiff!
 17. Truly a right mess. The scratchplate looks like it was fashioned from an old tyre. Too much information for me as well. He needs to learn how to use paragraphs!
 18. Had a look at selling for the first time in ages. They've changed the BIN system now. I'll give it a try...
 19. Bump for probably the best combo ever made!
 20.
Yeh not keen on having to rush to get things right. Especially as we are in charge of our own sound
It's hard work doing your own sound. We did that for a while. it started to ruin the rest of the night for us. Everybody was stressed before we started! It would have helped if there was anybody else in the band (apart from one of the guitarists and I) that knew how to set the rig up etc. I always ended up with the desk next to me We never play without a rig now and mostly use the same company. If we get the timing right the PA is in and he is playing music before we arrive. We get the drummer to arrive 30mins before the rest of us so he is set up when we arrive. Then it usually goes like this - I'll get set up in 5 minutes and get the singer to go to the bar whilst the 2 guitarists talk cack for ages... and ages... and ages...
 21.
Annnnnnnnnd, funding mission started
I'd keep hold of them for you if I wasn't in need of some speedy cash for a Barefaced!
 22.
Sorry only the 110 fella
Still very tempting! I'm sort of working on a Barefaced deal at he moment. If it doesn't work out I'll give you a shout.
 23.
Fantastic guitars, really sweet necks and pickups that punch well above their price point. GLWTS.
Thanks for the +1. They really do punch above their weight.
