6 basses, 1 EUB, daughter has 2 basses. My pedal board is now officially out of control and I want an upright. Thankfully they all cost £100 darling. Bless. She even bought me my new Ibanez Artcore for our wedding anniversary. She got a set of pots (Gordon Ramsey dontcha know) and a sewing machine. Fair exchange = No robbery

Its like Groundhog Day with mine. Every time I set up the band turn round to see me gazing in amazement at this small bit of metal. Then they go "Its so small" Then I go "Innit Though" and they go "Standard". I do have to use both cabs even if only one is connected so I feel like Ive got a rig behind me

I had an annoying space on the board soI decided to fill it with the SMHH. Looked pretty full. Then I got the SYB3 and just squeezed that in when along came the BassIQ but thankfully I swapped out an Exar Pignose I was using. I now feel the need for a Unichorus but Im going to have to lose one to make it fit. Problems problems.

I thank you. Ive seen a few boards on here that are really works of art due to the great use of space. I must have tried a dozen different layouts, but the Bassbone input/outputs screw with them all except for this one. One things for sure. I cant fit anything else on. Thatll please the boss/wife.

I have just got my hands on an Ibanez Artcore AGB 200 bought today from Guitar Works in Reading. Short scale and acoustic enough to practice un amped. I havent been able to spend a lot of time with it but it has a lovely Bluesy grunt to it. Check out the samples on You Tube for the tone and also eye candy. I love it already. Ill post some pics when I can.

Ive been looking around for a uk seller who stocks the right angled Centre negative 2.1mm x 5.5mm power leads that run from my board supply to the pedals (shown on voodoo lab site). Sent emails to any site that looked valid and have had nothing back. Does anyone know where I can pick these bad boys up from? Cheers in advance

Always to the front left as I sing backing vox at the front. I get the hi hat/snare and kick full on and when I want to get an eye lock/tell him to f***ing count I just drop back. Saying that at the jams we host coz of space and balance I have to set up on the right but Im not as comfortable there.

Yeah the single slap sounds good tho Im still working on my speed and accuracy but its really the double slap (when you follow the upward pull with a downward hit on the string to bang it off the fingerboard that makes the unwanted clatter. God only knows what it will sound like if I ever get to the dizzy heights of triple slapping!!!! Ill try the endpin fix and see if that helps. Or maybe Ill just watch a film with triple slapping in the title

But slapping on the Stagg has caused a few issues. Now most of this needs to be taken in the context of I am not a slapper and am by no means an expert on upright anything. However the slap sound that I can get from the Stagg leaves a lot to be desired. It obviously doesnt have the woody percussive sound that sounds so good on an upright, but also all the other parts of the bass seem to want to join in and the pickup is more than happy to oblige. By that I mean that the end pin rattles like a good un with anything but a mild approach, and the sound just becomes very muddled. That has a lot to do with my fledgling technique but I would advise a trial run before purchasing the beast just for slapping. That aside, its a great bit of kit for the cash as you can tell from all the praiseworthy posts on this thread. Hope I havent stuck my oar in where its not wanted Cheers

Not changed it yet. Been gigging it since June (over 15 gigs). Leave it plugged in throughout both sets and not a problem. Yours doesnt sound right.
