    Hello I have just bought an active bass and am confused. When it is plugged into the passive socket it is really loud, when plugged into the active socket it is really quiet and mellow. I know it is a daft question,(Mine usually are) but what is the best/correct way to use an active bass to get the best out of it? Thanks Mike

    I did my 2nd gig on Saturday and followed all of your advice and it was much better, thank you. I had spent the week learning "Brown Eyed Girl" and just about nailed it. Then on the night just as I was going to get my 10 seconds of glory with the short lead part, the singer forgot where we were and starting singing just as I was going to break out! Cor Blimey I was upset. Anyway, another gig in 2 weeks time and with luck I will get more confident as I do them. Thanks again Mike

    Hello I have a mint 3 tone Sunburst MIM Jazz with Black scratchplate that I would like to swap for your Precision. The black scratchplate is a genuine USA retro fit and I have the original white one as well. I think the bass is 2010. The quality and finish is excellent like your P bass. I have taken on board everything that has been said and I will certainly be looking forward to the next one in two weeks.     Played my first gig last night as a bass player. Absolutely terrifying but also enjoyable. We played from 7.30-11.00 and I was shattered. I was given a song list of over 40 songs two weeks ago and had to busk them all, happy days!!!!!!!!! I managed to keep my timing and hit the roots so the future looks rosy. Has anybody got any advice for a beginner please to make it easier. Thanks Mike

    Hello Jerry You are spot on there mate, I don't need a P Bass but I did want it so of course I had to have it but do you know, I don't think it is a patch on my L-2000 Tribute. I know I shouldn't say it and I am only a beginner but to me the G&L looks better, sounds better and I think plays better. Never mind, it looks nice hanging on the wall. best wishes Mike
