This is my time warp German made 62 Colorama. It is totally original and everything works as it should do. The only minor issue is that at sometime in the past the bridge has been turned around and string grooves filed, so in effect there are two sets of string grooves. This doesn't affect playability or sound and is hardly noticeable.( I didn't notice it until after I bought it but I thought it should be pointed out) If you are in a 60's covers band and you really want to be authentic then this is the guitar, because if you were around then like I was, the bands weren't playing Fenders like you see on telly, they were playing Hofners and Watkins etc. The guitar has an old non-original hard case. I would like: £300 please. Thanks Mike

Here is my excellent 50's Strat. It is a 2001 Mexican model in immaculate hardly played condition and looks like new. I have had Fender Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups fitted and a 3ply mint green pick guard, which is historically accurate (They fitted 3ply in 1959) It has been properly set up and comes in a brand new Thomann fitted tweed hard case. You won't find a better one. I am only selling because I only play bass now, it is a real gem and oozes 50's style. I would like: £450 ono please. Thanks for looking Mike

I have just traded my Epi T'Bird Pro with Gerry for his CV Precision. He is an absolute star, the transaction went like clockwork with really excellent coms. The CV is excellent and set up to perfection, the right bass in the right colour from the right person. Gerry is a person you can deal with in total confidence. He is exactly what Basschat is all about, low-enders helping each other out.

Hello I have just developed a fault on my Trace 7210H. It appears to lose volume and go Scratchy/Spiky(I don't know how else to describe it) I have given the volume control a good twiddle but it doesn't improve it. Has anybody got any ideas please. Also does anybody know where I can get a schematic for this amp please? thank you Mike

Hello again Just weighed the bass on bathroom scales. It came in at exactly 4kg, which is really a very nice weight. I have checked on Interparcel and there are two quotes without added insurance. They are: £57.00 Next day delivery £22.80 2-5 day delivery These are only insured to the value of £50 so there will be an additional charge for insurance up to the value of the bass but I couldn't find that out without booking it. I would say another £20-£30 for the correct insurance but am not exactly sure. What is your name please? kind regards Mike

Here is my 1983 Fender Jazz USA. It is all original and in stunning black with the original nicely aged white plastic pick up covers and scratch plate. It is in excellent condition with a few minor scuffs and marks but nothing serious at all. It plays really nicely with a low action and all of the jazz sounds you want. As you see it has a lovely maple board and neck. There are a couple of light indentations in the neck but nothing has gone through the lacquer and you can hardly see or feel them. The bass has an old extremely heavy and well made flight case to protect it. I would like £800 for it please. It is really nice but to be honest I prefer Precisions. I live in Oxfordshire and you are welcome to come and try it out. Thanks for looking. Mike

Hello I have a lovely Epiphone SG Bass that I bought from a fellow BC'er recently. I am thinking about fitting a DiMarzio Model One. Has anybody tried this? Are they good and are they easy to fit? Thanks Mike

Pestie replied to Pestie's topic in General Discussion
Thank you very much, yes, both cabs are 8 ohms. kind regards Mike -
I have just bought this from a BCer and I have it connected to a Trace 15" cab. I want to add a 2x10 but there is only one socket from the head to the cab. How do I go about daisy chaining it please? Thanks Mike

Just bought a lovely TCBH250 from Stuart. He is a top man to deal with. It was quick, easy and painless, communication was excellent and the amp arrived yesterday as planned. Highly recommended, a person you can trust. A real pleasure! Mike(Pestie)
