6. I have just tried very poorly singing while playing round and round by Ratt it wasn, t pretty but managed some bits very roughly so theres hope, I was trying to scat along the melody of green onions earlier to a basic bluesy line, that was fun and seems a simple way to try and get your brain doing different stuff, its hard enough playing a bass line sometimes let alone singing too lol
7. What a lovely gift , nice one
8. I ordered from gak today and it should be here tomorrow

11. Man that is beautiful , I nearly bought a squier cv version in fiesta red, enjoy it
12. Someone shared a good youtube video on here once of a girl bass player sharing how she started doing it, I think it started off basically humming parts over simple lines and building on that, I bet someone will share it again , it is a devil of a job though, wonder if drummers would be good at it as they are used to doing lots of different things at once
13. It, s well busy , he, s singin backup too in parts, what a clever dick haha, I would just be able to outline the chords and passing notes
14. CAT a bike show I was at last year, one of the stalls had 2 pistons from a Cat bulldozer, they were massive, I was well impressed
15.
Every so often a 'GAK - any good?' thread pops up, and the posts are pretty consistent - lots of 'yes, I bought from them, all good' replies, and a few 2nd- or 3rd-hand reports of problems. I fall into the first category. As planer mentioned above, they are a proper shop, not just a massive warehouse full of boxes (although I guess they must have one of those too). If you are ever in Brighton, I strongly encourage you to go for a browse. I spent 10 minutes gazing slack-jawed at the new and used pedals in one of the windows, before I even went in! Wow the shop surely does look like a heaven on earth, You can't miss the shop, it looks like this:
16. Thanks guys, really do appreciate all your input
17. I like the idea of one bass that you know so well, you can play it in your sleep, it makes perfect sense, its just finding "the one" and bearing to part with the others
18. I'm going up to 3 from 2, will probably have to get rid of my Jap Yngwie strat to justify cluttering my apartment up with another instrument. GAS is a cruel mistress only the sufferer can seem to see the logic
19. Thank's for your input Subbeh, I think I have had small items from them in the past like leads or gig bags. whoever I use will probably order monday now, and have a woed on the phone. thanks again have a good weekend
