1.
I was going to start a thread about the big one as I'm about to get one, nearly went for the mini until I realised (was told) it only works off a power supply! Looks like everyone is happy with their big ones though? If so Santa best pop one in his sack!
The big one is great and highly recommended. I bought the mini originally because the sales guy said it would work with batteries... it does not so I had an hour trip back to the bloody shop. Buy the full size model or wait and see if santa has it in his sack.
2. Does this have a black or silver top ? Thanks.
3. I have a 65 amp Apollo head that also gives out 50 watts and their matching cab. It's a simple 90 litre cab with two ports that have 110mm long 75mm diameter tubes that tune to 40hz. Tubes can be bought from wilmslow audio for about £10. It has a celestion BL15-400x driver that is still available for about £70. Get your saw out and start cutting.
4. Only speaker 3m cable left.
5. Bass only for me. I can't and don't want to play guitar.
6. I use Fender flats on my P bass and they are really good string to string with no audible differance between them. Have you tried the Fenders yet ?
7. Hi Paul, Could you do a little review of our findings on the various flats you trying so we all could benefit from your endeavours. Thanks.
8. Welcome. Jump in and have fun.
9.
TI (Thomastik/Infeld) jazz flats are fairly bright as flats go. They have very low tension, which does not suit everyone. Here is their site if you wish to check them out. http://www.thomastik...tars/index.html
Thanks for the info. Ive also tried them before and found them to have to low tension for my liking. Looks like Elixir might be the solution. Does anyone want to buy TWO sets of Pro Steels for 6 string bass ? One set only 1 month old the other 4 and they are cut 4 -2.... £15 posted ( also in for sale section )
10.
+1, Elixir nanowebs are ace for fretless.
I find chrome flats have to high tension for my liking. Elixir could be the way forward, I have tried them before and liked the feel and sound. I forgot to say the recommendations must be available for six string basses.
11. As above. I'm changing my strings from Pro Steels to flats and wondered if you guys to help. I love the bright sound of the Pro Steels But want the smooth feel of flats for my fretless. What are the brightest flats available ?
12. If it was me I would leave and tell them why. You could always fine another band or form your own with like minded people.
13. I tried to order a set but everything was out of stock...... very poor.
14. Ah, I can see why I have gone wrong. Do I have to sell the Shuker 6 string fretless ?
15. just gone to order them... OUT OF STOCK.
16. Anth is a great guy to deal with. Highly recommend.
17.
I never actually went ahead with an order but I asked Aaron Armstrong about some custom pickups and he was way more than helpful if you want a UK alternative to Wizard
+1 for Aaron. He made my custom 6 string P Bass pickup.
18. Black... simple.
