Never was a ABBA fan (I like maybe 4 or 5 of their songs) but I appreciate that they were something a bit special - and gave a lot of pleasure to lot of people. However, I reckon the recent publicity photos in the papers make them look like characters from Disney's 1982 movie - 'TRON'. Chris

An interesting thread with a lot of information, maybe something to consider in the future. So this is probably a daft question, but are the enclosures (RCF. I Ain't No Mountain - Budgie (but written by Andy Fairweather-Lowe I believe)

I don't regard Deep Purple as a 'Heavy Metal' band at all. I do think that the Mk II Deep Purple line-up (Lord , Blackmore , Paice , Gillan & Glover) was one of the finest Rock Bands, irrespective of genre. To my ears - 'In Rock' and 'Machine Head' remain first class studio 'rock' albums - and 'Made In Japan' is the definitive live 'rock' album.
