  1. Sorry for the delay replaying - I've had it for 5 years - date on rating plate is 02/2012 I'm also just about to reduce the price. Chris
  2. Bought some Flats from Lozz196 - ideal transaction with excellent communication and very quick delivery. Thank you Lozz.
  3. What Is Soul - Ben E King or Funkadelic
  4. Yep, it's the one in my avatar - through-neck CFC with red tint and red side LEDs. it doesn't get played much these days but every so often I'll open the case and look at it for a few minutes - then pick it up and noodle for a while and then put it back in its case until the next time ................. bit of a waste really I should play it much more than I do.
  5. I used a Status Stealth II (5-String; Headless) exclusively for about 10 years. It’s a lovely bass but a conventional 4-string bass seems to work better in my current rock covers bands.
  6. Bought a couple of sets of Mandolin strings from KevL - no problems here- great communication and prompt delivery. Thanks for a smooth transaction Kev.
  7. Tom recently purchased a SmoothHound Classic wireless from me - excellent communications and a silky smooth transaction. Many thanks Tom.
  8. Both sets posted for £12.00 ? - yes please. Bank transfer ok with me, let me know the neccessary details and I'll transfer the funds tomorrow. Thanks. Chris
  9. I always take a 2nd bass and spare Amp head (MicroMark). And always take my ‘crisis’ bag with spare microphone and clip, spare signal and power leads, strings, plecs, tool kit, gaffa tape and re-useable cable ties. Better to have and not need than to need and not have.
  10. Rock'n'Roll Doctor - Little Feat
  11. Dead End Street - The Kinks
  12. I played my first live gig in 1968, and I'm still playing live gigs. The final paragraph in Bassbiscuits' post above says it all.
  13. Too many knobs, switches and sockets for me BUT................. the neck, body, black scratchplate and pyro'd tree combination is stunning.
  14. A couple of lesser known solos from John Entwistle The Ox and Meatloaf The Ox and The 'ooooo
  15. +1 Only dealt with Real Electronics once (Carry Handle for a MarkBass CMD121). Excellent service and very quick delivery from courteous and knowledgeable people.
  16. The Devil Went Down To Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band
  17. Nothing really gets me wound-up but my own thoughts on Jason Karloff's list are: 1: Fender's Sunburst. I have no problem with this at all. 2. Fender Multi Stringed Instruments. I'm a convert to the "Stick with the four string thing", (From a personal perspective, I'm not so sure about the "You are good at it" bit though !). I went back to 4 string Basses about 4 years ago, I tried my 5 string Bass at a recent rehearsal and decided fairly quickly that I preferred the sound and feel of a 4-string Bass. 3. People calling pick ups "pups". Agree 100% with the OP, they're 'Pick-Ups' 4. 99% of all top end basses for sale in Mainland Europe. Agree 100% with the OP, especially in terms of visual aesthetics. I find most of the 'Boutique' basses extremely ugly - in particular Single Cut basses. Some of the woods and finishes are stunning but, the geometries of some designer guitar bodies are just wrong. I have no problem with painted bodies. 5. Wood Pickups. Agree 100% with the OP, they don't do anything for me. 6. Fret Dots. I'd be lost without them ! ! My deal breaker would be ................. Coloured Headstock - just looks wrong to me.
  18. Bought a Rickenbacker 4000 Thumbrest from Clarky - product exactly as described, great communications and very quick delivery. Smooth transaction, thanks Clarky.
