3.
The ramp by itself does not improve right hand technique and allow you to play with a lighter touch. Dynamic range and technique come from the players hands, not the ramp.
the ramp didn't make my technic, but improved it in such a way that i would made one for any new bass i would have.
4.
Just an opinion, but I think a ramp is a bit of a pointless gimmick. Your technique should be good enough to make a ramp superfluous, and you should be able to play hard or soft without hooking your fingers under the strings anyway.
it'not a matter of good or bad technic, it's just improve the right hand technique and allow to play with a lighter touch and increase shades in the bass "voice" , and chords technics to play latin grooves.. at least to me. i play jazz and try to expand the chords technic in my playing.
5. what bassbus says. the ks burner i had for my 40 birthday had one. it really helped me to reduce my attack and improve my playing flow. So i made one for my second bass.

7. So the GK 115 combo with another 115 cab would be good. In the noisy rock band, with one guitard, never needed the two cabs; so only used 320 watts and never had to set up the master far than 11 o'clock, with the preamp between 11 and 12 for a clean and clear tone. For the jazz thing, i'm always "too loud".
8.
In my humble opinion the greatest rock band of all time.
fully agree.
9. The weight yes. Not comfortable to move by myself. I'm not a strong guy . But if it's not a problem for you, go for it.
10. The GK is a blast. I use it for noisy rock trio, and jazz too. Sound is clear, powerfull. Never had to add a cab. (though i'm not in a metal band with two bloody guitards..) The perfect amp for me. BUT it's a pain in the a** to move. So i removed the head from the combo, and bought a GK NEO 115 III cab; no more pain. The rest of the combo stay at the rock band local; i use it as a cab for reharsals.
11. Amazing

16. If screws doesn"t work or become hard to turn, that could be the foam under the pickup (if there is foam); just low the thickness.
17. it's the way to check the good truss set up: fret the first and the last fret, then check the space between strings and frets between the nine and twelve ones. If someone can help you to measure the space when you fret the first and the last with your both hands, no need to capo. That said, if your truss is too stiff, perhaps a better idea to see a professional.
18.
Read this carefully a couple of times: http://www.jerzydroz...uide_ver100.pdf You're doing something wrong, the saddle has to move back and forward (closer tothe bridge or the neck) even if it needs to be pushed in place with the screwdriver.
if you didn't yet, try this jerzydrozd thing step by step. Since i did that, no problem to set up my basses.
19. And we have to add sub-categories in cover bands: - Those who play tunes note for note - Those who twist tunes in their ways. For the first case, they could be a tribute "multi-bands"..
