1. Chris Slade, excellent drummer and seems like a good guy. Didn't he step away to allow Rudd back in ? I saw Chris Slade with Gary Moore and Bob Daisley on Moores after the war tour years and years ago in Kings Hall in Belfast. Home gig for Gary Moore and unforgettable version of Parisienne walkways. That was just before Slade played donnington with Ac/Dc.
2.
And here is the best value for money on the internet today.
Yep I've a non bass related purchase waiting and this needs to be gone. Somebody help me out please. I'm at home until 1100hrs today. Get a bank transfer to me before 1000hrs and I will pack it up and do next day delivery by Parcelforce and you will have this tomorrow. Can't get faster than that.
3. Pictures are hard to get good this time of year without decent light so accept my apologies. The top horn appears to have a blip on it in the first pic but it's the reflection of the ceiling light and not a mark. I've finally decided I need to let this go. This is a beauty of an active/passive bass with real flexibility. Trouble for me is that I just want to play it passive all the time and despite multiple attempts to get used to active electronics they are not for me. So somebody else might as well be enjoying it. So here is a blue burst finish G+L tribute series 5 string. 34" scale. According to the plastic and label which is still on the back it is a late 2009 model and plays lovely. Some honest play wear/swirls on the front and a slight mark on the neck just visible in the pic of the rear of the headstock. It's barely perceptible to the hands and doesn't affect playing at all but I'm mentioning it nonetheless. There is a fantastic warwick lightweight canvas/hardcase with this which has all the benefits of a rigid case without the weight. I'm looking for a quick sale so if you are coming up slightly short just PM me and we can maybe agree on our differences. Any questions just ask. Post included to UK only, thanks.

5. Thanks for the feedback.
6. Thats a pretty cool colour. I've always wanted to try one of these but I went in at ABZ and ABII so skipped em out. How's the darkglass onboard preamp ?
7. Are these little boxes as good as they say. I've never heard or played one but they are certainly easy on the eyes, space they take up and the £50-ish price tag. I'm considering an eq and the thunder ball fuzz/distortion, does anyone have any thoughts ?
8. That is a lovely colour, reminds me of my first USA Pbass.
9. That's a lovely red Tom. GLWTS
10. Oh man this is gorgeous. What about a freebie for somebody like me, you have so many you wouldn't miss one............... Wish I had the cash Have a bump
11.
I spent £3000 on an Fbass and gigged it about 4 times. Absolutely fabulous instrument but was too worried about getting it knocked over and whatever. Sold it. Complete waste of time buying it.
Been there done that , several times and I've finally learned my lesson
12. Most expensive bass I owned was a Dingwall ABII which cost £3,000 I loved playing it, loved the sound but couldn't relax in case I got a ding in it. As for cheaper basses, it's not that I don't look after them the same, I just don't panic that much if I get a nick in it. Unless I became exceptionally rich and could afford to replace a Fodera at will with the ease of a financial speedbump I wouldn't spend that amount of money again. About £1,000 is about all I would invest, any more and my worry level rises too much. But that's just me, others may say it works for them.
13. Gooooooooooooood mornin Vietnam
14. Is this still available ?
15. I had a fretless 4003. Model is the 4003FL It was dots and not sharks teeth. From what I remember it sounded awesome, lovely big sound. Gorgeous bases.
16. I have avoided paypal after being stung for over £350 for a bass, albeit a long time ago but stung nonetheless. Took weeks to get it back after much jumping through hoops to even get paypal to acknowledge I had a problem. I have used bank transfer since for anything more than about £25 and I appreciate those who haven't ripped me off. At least bank transfer has a trail to a bank account with an address and a camera shot of the account holder and info about direct debits etc so when its looked into they have a person to look for.
17. I've tried VMT and B3k and tech21 sansamp bd. Of the three id buy the programmable sansamp bass driver. The flexibility of saving settings was a massive advantage for me. Each person will have an opinion on this, but whilst Im currently using a behringer bd121 to see how it fares I'd recommend the tech 21 over darkglass if I was shopping again.
18. Why would you sell something like this when someone like myself (not flush at all) would metaphorically give a right arm to even have a play on it. Have a free bump too. GLWTS
