1. I'm going for a lighter rig and I wish to replace my Goliath III and Son of Bertha (Which I very rarely use) with a pair of golight 2x10s or a 4 ohm golight 4x10. I was wondering if anyone has had much experience with two 2x10s and whether they sound a lot like one 4x10. The 4x10 is enough for me not to be bothered about getting another 15" cab.
2. £600 is about right, I'm getting one soon hopefully, I'll post when I get it.

5. I have a gigskinz 2u rackbag and I was bowled over by the quality. I really wasn't expecting it to be that nice for the money. I would recommend them very highly to anyone.
6. Interface wise you should check out the Saffire Pro 40, it has 8 mic pres and is firewire. You can also expand to a further 8 mic pres at a later date with ADAT. DAW wise I swear by Logic but you'd need a Mac to run it.

9. I'm downsizing, my car has died and I need to free up some cash for a new one. I'm looking to get an SM-500 instead, it would mean that I wouldn't need an estate thus reducing the cost of the new car.
10. I'm trying to gauge interest for an SWR SM-1500. It is a year and a half old and bought new, it has been lightly gigged and is in mint condition. It is mounted in a sleeved 3u rack case from the flight case warehouse. I'm looking for £1650 o.n.o. Sensible offers only. This head is still under warranty for another 3 1/2 years, I still have the receipt so I can transfer this to the buyer. You can contact me through the site, email ([email protected]) or mobile (07886687718). Here is a link to the SWR website SM-1500 page £1650 O.N.O. Sensible offers only. P.M. me for more info, I'm happy for people to come out and try it, I live about 12 miles west of Newcastle. Sold to a lovely man from Killingworth.
11. What was wrong with the amp? I played this one in the shop but didn't buy because it was very noisy when I turned master right up. I ended up buying the Workingmans 2x10C combo from them instead. GuitarGuitar have always treated me right, it's why I keep going back.
12. Line 6, Waves, IK Multimedia and Native instruments all make guitar amp emulation software. Line 6 and NI also sell theirs with USB audio interfaces, I'd recommend the Line 6 toneport studio UX1 for simple bass recordings. It's fairly cheap and easy to use. In terms of a practice amp there are loads out there, look for something that has a headphone out socket on it and an aux in for playing other sound sources through the amp. The Roland Bass Micro cube RX is a great practice amp, it can run off batteries and has a tuner, metronome, effects, 3 band EQ and a compressor. Hope this helps.
