1. Just bought Marks Epifani cab. Everything went sweet as a nut Tod bloke & great guy to deal with.
2. Yeh Talk to angels are all great guys. We recorded at Mikey's house awhile back. Wish them all the best from 'Ten Floors' for us mate Jake
3.
Hi Jake Don't know how you're getting on with the sale but I am thought I was going to purchase an AER basic and then made the mistake of digging a little deeper into things. This inevitably involves parting with more money than originally intended!! I play 6 string fretted Overwater, 6 fretless Warwick and upright and through different rigs for each bass. This looks like the perfect all rounder for small-mid sized gigs. I know you spoke about trade but I'd be happy to pay you by bankers draft (is that the safest way for both parties...?) and not bother trading anything if you're happy. Would love to hear from you and your thoughts on my intended usage for the amp and potential sale... Best wishes Gadji
Hi sorry mate, The trade all went through. The member 'Toasted' here was selling his ip112/ex112 stack acouple of weeks back so that may still be around so you could try sending him a message. Cheers, Jake
4.
Genz Benz 6.0 amp for £280 then had to pay fees
Erm, how did we miss this? It sounds like your selling them on ebay & not here?? Maybe its time to start setting a reserve price.
5. That's lovely that is
6.
They are expensive, but wow, do they get the job done with a certain 'class' that I was shocked about when I tested one, (and ultimately ended up buying one).
Exactly, you can't put a price on quality. And it is 3 amps in one
7.
Wow, big change from the IP! I love that amp. Everyone states the IP is the be all and end all cabinet/amp...what are your thoughts?
A couple of reasons really, the tc really appealed to me for the 3 channels. The siggery & yamaha are really different sounding basses, and when i eventually get a P bass, the ability to have 3 sounds right there fully set up with even volumes is going to invaluable when switching basses at a gig. In terms of the cab, i've always loved the epifani sound. I really wanted the 310 but this was at a good price. The Berg sounded phenomenal but i still don't think i fully get on with 12's. They've always seemed to lack something for me. If money wasn't an object i'd probably be looking at one of the berg 410's but there alot of money, and with starting uni next month i don't have much to spare!!
8. Sounds amazing, soooo happy
9. This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race - Fall Out Boy
10.
Anyone else think this is a great product? http://www.samash.com/p/BattOMeter_-49951552
I like the idea of it, but every preamp is going to draw different amounts of current. So surely its going to give an incorrect value of how long you've got left?? Edit: Plus it doesn't work with 18v setups.
11. You sure it's a girl?
12. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=74284 I'll repeat what the others have said, check out the link i've just posted. The reading lessons start at session 20 and have been invaluable to me learning to read!
13. Just sorting out some new strings for my basses and thought i'd give DR Fatbeams a try. Turns out its cheaper to buy a 4 string set & a separate B string than it is to but the 5 string set 4 String B String 5 String set
14.
I have the dots for it (it was in BassPlayer a few months back) but alas no scanner. I'll see if I can get it sorted for you.
Cheers dude
15.
What's the likely trade Jake?
RH450 + Cash at the minute. Played one acouple of months back before i got the berg and really liked it but wasn't keen on TC cabs so now i'm looking for a cab. Plus the 3 channels are going to be really useful to me. Always loved playing through my mates Epi 310 so think thats my ideal. May take the UL210 thats for sale atm or try and find a decent priced Berg cab because you can't fault the sound quality that they produce!!
16. Trade pending Think this is going to be my quickest deal to date
17. Hey guys, My ears are tired and i wanna have a jam with this song. Anyone got a transcription of it?? Dots or tab i'm not fussed either way, it'll just give my ears a break Jake
18. Posting this on my phone so I'll add some better pics in the morning. I'm currently changing round some equipment as I fancy something different. About the berg, I bought it new from bass direct about 3 months ago with padded cover. Still got all the packaging so posting is a doddle. What am I after? Well tbh, anything I still want to keep things lightweight or compact. Really interested in epifani & aguilar amps & cabs. Markbass heads but never really liked the cabs. If I were to sell it I'd like £1100. It's in mint condition & has had less than 16 hours use! Cheers guys Edit; old pic
19.
Do we think that this: http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/behr...onverter--18218 is compatibile with this: http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/m-au...nterface--36419 then? Obviously we'd prefer this: http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/m-au...-optical--36422 but there's a good £300 difference...
Yeh that would work. Have you thought about the presonus model that i posted?? http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/pres...c-preamp--48499 Its about double the price of the behringer but cheaper than the m-audio. But they have better quality components & pre amps.
20. Are we talking classic ska like the specials, or modern ska like streetlight manifesto??
21.
As the possible eight-channel limitation has been mentioned, these are very well regarded as an ADAT front-end (about the only bit of Behringer gear I'd recommend for 'pro' use, to be honest ) - http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/behr...onverter--18218
Those are good but the built in preamp on the channels aren't the best.
22. Have you thought about the M-Audio Lightbridge?? You can make a great expandable set up using ADAT. http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProF...ightbridge.html Then using up to 4 presonus preamps for 32 channels of recording. http://www.presonus.com/products/Detail.aspx?ProductId=48 Then getting a dedicated controller as apose to a controller/interface mix. For example, Euphonix MC Control. http://www.euphonix.com/artist/products/mc_control/ My uncle recently got one of these and they are so good. So easy to use and makes everything really simple, especially with the touch screen. So to get a 32 channel recording set up, its comes to about £2700. Which is alot of gear for the money EDIT: Forgot to say, the control surface is for MAC only afaik.
23.
Oh thats where it is! Does anyone know how to link this one on to that one? Nice one Jake and you managed the fulfil the "show us your dogs"thread at the same time too!
Haha yeh i realised after i touch the picture. Think she found a frog
