  1. Cheers mate, some people have suggested we have "sold out", believe me I would amazed if we sold out any thing!
  2. Yeah I did atleast TRY and do a search before I posted, but most of what I found was to do with importing bigger ticket items like complete basses, not just components. Thanks for the help though!
  3. All right cranky pants 😉 I HAVE read it now, I read the calculator page and got bored, tax law isn't a passion of mine. But thanks for the nudge, I should have read it before posting. Thanks for the info guys, when all is said and done, think ill just get it from Thomann, it will be less hassle and probably get here faster.
  4. It's a shame when this happens. I felt sorry for Jason newstead from metallica, his farmhouse side project was called echo brain, and he got sued by a band call echo drain... I guess he was an easy target with deep pockets but come on surely they could both perform under their respective names without any copyright infringement or confusion. I already have my band name picked out, and can't find a reference anywhere so be on the lookout for "shadow hoax" there it's documented!
  5. Just note sure about buying stuff from within EU
  6. Thanks for the link it worked fine. This may sound stupid but is buying through Tomann online subject to the same duty/vat?
  7. Anyone know off hand what import duty rate is?
  8. Has anyone bought small items off eBay in the USA and had them shipped? I've only recently moved from Australia and the import laws are very different so just wondering what to and what not to do. Looking at getting a set of pickups. Cheers
  9. Last chance before this goes to the chop shop guys n gals, thought I'd bump it one last time before I withdraw it from sale and keep it.
  10. Come on all you precision bass fans, stand out from the crowd!
  11. I can't believe this is STILL here 😳 this place is funny at times. I hope you sell this soon Pablo because its killing me! I still can't move my fender either...
  12. I forgot to post back on this, I ordered some acs er20's for the whole band off the overwhelming positive feedback. The other two guy in the band are happy, but for me they fit like any other earplug I've tried, if I move my mouth/face they work their way loose, not good as I do backing vox. Wish I'd tried the noizezz ones now but oh we'll, they cut the noise down really well though and can hear the mix just fine so +1 for effectiveness but -1 on the fit
  13. The longer I have this the more likely I am to modify it....
  14. Where are you located flex? Quite happy to let you have a go and see what you think
  15. Just checked the classifieds, if you are quick there is a orange terror bass for, and either a peavy or trace elliott 410 that would bring you in on or under budget.
  16. Orange terror bass 500, would be a good bet. I have the 1000 watt version and love it. It's ultra light, but has a valve pre which can go from warm valve to full on growl. These units are LOUD for the size, but if you want ultra clean sound AND volume you might struggle, if you want it loud you have to use gain. You should be able to pick one up for about £350 which will leave you enough for you cab.
  17. Hey guys, there must be a LOT of packaging in that shipping weight listed on amazon. I make it between 5 and 6 kg or 11 and 13.2 lbs. hope this helps
  18. According to amazon, the squier version of this has a shipping weight including packaging of 25lbs, which probably sounds about right, I would have said about the 9-10kg at a guess.... She is Definately no middleweight but surprisingly it doesn't really bother me too much, I mean it is a heavy bass, but I've used it solid for 3 hour rehearsal without any issues, I only use a standard fender strap too, if you invested in a quality leather strap you would be sweet.
  19. I know, I love everything about this bass, it just oozes hot rod cool, only reason I'm selling is I have ridiculously small hands, and the neck and I just don't get on. Don't get me wrong, I can play it just fine, but my jazz just feels a little faster and more like home.
  20. Wow, not even a sniff of interest.... Bump!
  21. I know how you feel, there's no love for my Bass either and mines a fender 😳
