Straight from @ped's dingy backstreet lockup to my bass! BC Grolsch button straplocks, unfortunately they didn't come attached to a BC brewed bottle of beer.

Some questions/thoughts on bass design. Singlecut: why do they all look like sperm whales? A singlecut guitar like a Les Paul or a Tele doesn't join the neck up by 5th fret* so why do basses? Offset: What is an offset body? A jazz bass is technically offset, but the term is usually applied to something like a Jaguar body. *Exaggerated for comic effect.

It's really simple, my surname is Orchard and I live in Aukrug, which is in Germany. The line design I suspect I've seen on a London road name somewhere, or it may be some art deco thing.

The weekends pottering. A pocket for the sharpening board, a little moveable tool tray that hangs on the side of the bench and a rather wobbly drawer. The drawer is an "it'll do" rather than done properly. It really needs a proper four square frame building around it and then that fixing rather than screwing bits of wood together and crossing my fingers.

A thin veneer on it? If you've not already seen it @Andyjr1515 has a genius how-to on veneering.

Nice, yours? TBH I don't know why it's called a shooting board, but much to my surprise it's accurate! Though my wedges need to be thicker, anything above 15mm has nothing to support the top corner.

Do the walls white while you can, it makes a huge difference to the reflected light in a room.

Or get a standard three hole one and cut my own power outlet hole. If only the three hole ones at the holes grouped at the end rather than in the middle.
