Seymour Duncan SPB1 PBass pickup

Pics to follow Blurb from Seymour Duncan: "Vintage correct split-coil Precision Bass pickup made to look and sound like the late 50s originals. The P-bass has defined recorded and live music since its inception, and the Vintage P-Bass pickup nails all the things we love about that distinctive tone. You will get just the right balance of authoritative thump and clear articulation for an authentic P-Bass feel. Our Vintage P-Bass pickup uses hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, and a vintage coil wind to deliver all of the bold, smooth tone of the late 50s Precision Bass. This pickup is a drop-in replacement for any American Standard Precision bass. Since 1978, weve been hand building all of our vintage Fender style pickups with the right color and thickness of Forbon flatwork, along with the period correct hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets. Each pickup comes complete with waxed and tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires. We hand file the flatwork, assemble, and lacquer the bobbin just as it was done during Fenders Golden Age. Comes with black non-logo covers." Sounds great too! Good condition, £40 delivered in the UK

NOW SOLD. THANKS FOR THE INTEREST New old stock Precision Bass body from Mighty Mite, lovely 2 tone tobacco sunburst. This is an UNUSED body in just left the factory condition. Its routed for pickups and controls as per a USA P bass, and has the bridge earth wire hole drilled, strap buttons driiled and the neck bolt holes drilled (all done at the factory), but has no scratchplate or bridge holes drilled. I bought this Bass from a dealer in the 'states a year ago, but the project I had planned never came together. Think the wood is Alder, it looks to be two piece and is a medium weight. As soon as I root out a tape measure, I'll post the neck pocket dimensions. Price is £125 with UK postage extra, buyer is welcome to collect. Cheers, Mart.

Priced at £750. but I'll listen to offers.... Up for grabs is my early/mid 1970's Hiwatt DR112 head. Built as a 6 channel pa head, the circuit sounds almost the same as Hiwatts famed DR103 amps. The amp sounds great with Bass or Guitar. Recently serviced by DWJ amps of Liverpool: https://www.facebook...871213/?fref=ts A couple of the big caps and one resistor were replaced, the head was revalved, and the Bulgin connector changed for a Euro (kettle) connector. I've been gigging this and its tone to die for, all the channels work fine, except for channel 2 which is quiet. The amp is going back to DWJ, so this wil be sorted before any sale. I'm happy to courier... But would prefer collection for obvious reasons..... Any questions, please ask. The cab and my lovely Jazz are NOT for sale Lol.

MXR EVH-117 Based on the original MXR mains powered Flanger, (and just as wild!). This updated version of an old classic features the same "Bucket Brigade" circuit that made the original such a favourite, and has the "EVH" switch that instantly dials in Van Halens famous "Unchained" and "The cradle will rock" sounds. Of course, its also a dab hand at the Flanger sounds used by Tony Visconti on Phil Lynotts Bass, check out "Waiting for an alibi" to hear what all thats about. This 18 volt pedal runs on two batteries or the MXR power supply (included). Boxed and in good condition. Happy to post for a fiver, or buyer may collect. Based just outside Liverpool. Any questions, please ask. Cheers.

NOW SOLD. EMG's first exposed polepiece active pickups. Voiced from an early 1960's Jazz bass and "Designed to give the classic vintage tone and look, but without any extraneous noise. These pickups retain the "faded vintage attack" in conjunction with our lowest noise preamp ever". And they sound mighty fine into the bargain! Excellent condition, complete, and ready to fit: Two pickups, 2x vol and 1x tone control, (and washers and nuts) jack socket, battery holder and solderless wiring loom, (totally new EMG push fit system, upgraded from the old push fit/cut and solder loom). All you'll need are pickup height screws, springs or foam for height adjustment, and knobs for the controls. Oh and a 9 volt battery of course! Snugly fitted into the cavity of my MIJ J Bass. These pickups are very sensetive to string height, and sound best when as close to the strings as you can practically get them. These retail at around 135 a set these days, so grab yourself a bargain. Any questions, please ask.

After the success on the black and and maple bitsa made from genuine Fender parts in 2014, I've decided to build a late '60's/early '70's Sunburst and rosewood P bass as a little christmas present to myself. Souced an NOS Mighty mite body in tobacco sunburst from the states and picked up a brand new maple and rosewood neck from north west guitars. Just deciding which make of pickup to go for and looking for machine heads. Further reports and pics to follow.......

Any foot switch tuner recommendations? Boss tu2?
mart3442 replied to lowlandtrees's topic in EUB and Double Bass
Pitchblack, quicker, more accurate, longer battery life and crucially, doesn't suck your tone.
