my 5 string R/B Streamer has the MEC `Vintage Humbucker` pups and ive never had any problem with output, its been my main recording bass for the last year and the engineer we use has always been very complimentary on the sound quality.
oh yes i can see them, whoop problem found! how do people gig these things for years without a problem and mines been in the car twice and this has happened!
now if only i hadnt blown every fuse i had trying them in my practice amp i could try the thing again doh!! my practice amp has a strange fuse holder that can fit 2 ways but only works one way and blows the fuse the other way whoops 3 blown fuses and no spares till wednesday damnation!
thanks for all your help chaps, much appreciated. Jeff
why has he put 2 miss matched control knobs on when the black originals matched the rest of the hardware? `touch of class`? cheap and tacky more like! and why has he swapped the neck humbucker out for a flamin jazz bass pick up? the blokes an idiot.
I must be really unlucky when it comes to amps, i bought a Berhinger last year practiced with it once and it never worked again, today i practiced with a new band for the first time since buying a second hand Ashdown EB180 which worked when i bought it and worked when i got it home but i practice through a smaller combo in the house so its been stood 2 months, plugged it in at the rehearsal rooms switched it on and..........nothing, tried a different socket.still nothing tried a different power lead.......you get the picture. Its not the fuse as ive checked it its really hacked me off, does anyone know anywhere in the north east that fixes amps? i really dont want to fork out another few hundred quid for another one
I saw them in the 80`s in a sports hall in a village called Willington, the first words were `Hello Newcastle` which is 30 miles away! cracking gig though, even went backstage after the show and met the band, nice guys the lot of them.
if she doesnt have very big hands why not look at a Squier Jaguar with the shorter scale or one of the other shorter scale basses that way she could always learn on that till she would be comfortable with a longer scale neck
I am totally gobsmacked how the builds have turned out, granted all ive done apart from the first one was put things together but ive managed to source 2 identically finished bodies in identical wood from across the pond not knowing who the original supplier was, both the cherry burst basses have identical hardware . All i need now is an ash P/Bass body coss on it way from japan is a maple/maple neck! i need a cheap ash body to fulfill the range, :-)
