4. Yeah, just goes to show that copyright is broken. As are patents. This is why we have a fast-growing Pirate movement in politics today. All the music that I choose to 'consume' and listen to is now licensed under Creative Commons. I plan to release an album soon, and I would never even consider copyrighting it. At least under current laws.
5. you can get dedicated loop pedals, but i like to use delay/loop pedals. the looper is often more primitive in them but usually good enough for practice purposes and you also get a bunch of delays too. two flowers in one pot! i use the TC Electronic Flashback.
6.
However, it is slightly yellow and might need a respray.
i personally quite like the yellow/black scheme Markbass have going on. i'm not one who usually falls for aesthetics when buying bass gear but the black/yellow was what made me take notice the Markbass stuff. like a bold Lamborghini if you will.
7. damn. i'd be interested but my budget can't stretch that far. have a bump.
8. i play the 5-string version of this. it's a lot of bass for the money!
9. hmm. you just copy-pasted some marketing :\
10.
The new line of BC combos has, indeed, had a total makeover. Extensive R&D was done in a joint effort between Celestion and Jonas Hellborg, and utilizes many features of the high-end Hellborg Amp line in its design. Its a very well thought-out design with special attention given to circuit and component layout, which results in a very musical sound with low noise and no hiss/hum. With its symmetrical circuit layout - meant to reduce resistance, create as low impedance as possible, and provide proper grounding, it creates less thermal noise and needs less filtering of high frequency feedback - which equals a more responsive and musical sounding amp. The box/cabinet size is matched to its specific driver, and great consideration was given to every detail - including box/cab material and covering material. They really sound incredible!
is there a reason you guys went with Class A topology? it's rather old, and crossover distortion is pretty much a non-issue with modern AB designs. Class A also burns twice the energy that it puts out to the speaker, even when idle. there's comments on the Youtube demos and Warwick forums that they are really quiet. what are the speakers in these? the BC-40's driver is rated at 89 dB SPL in its manual, which is pretty low. Andy Irvine and the reviewer in Leakim's link both had the amps past half way up.
11. reason number two why i don't own a car is for all the cronyism/corruption with the car/oil industry and the taxes/insurance.

13. they recently re-did their BC combo line. http://www.warwick.de/modules/produkte/produkt.php?submenuID=14673&katID=24179&linkID=47449&cl=EN so what's the lowdown on these? no reviews anywhere, just product demos.
14. Kodak Xtralife here. i think they were going at 2 for £1 at poundland, so i bought a bunch.
15. EHx White Finger works well. i've got one for sale. [/plug]
16. they're not too bad. rosewood with plastic white dots are far uglier to me.
17. full-range car speakers that have tweeters also mount them in the middle, so there probably is some benefit to it.
18. interesting how the tweeter is mounted in front of the main speaker.
19.
I'm now imagining a venue as a giant microwave, with the audience as the food, and the sound waves trying to cook them
aye. this is why we all need two 8x10 cabinets on either side of the stage so they cook faster. get them to form a circle pit so they cook nice and evenly ^^
20.
Ahh gotcha! I don't like mixing different sized speaker cabinets, changes the sound way too much! There is some sciencey thing to do with frequencies cancelling eachother out too but I fear i might be opening another can of worms if I go into it too much
yeah it's to do with the phase of frequencies and superposition. the same effect that makes us need to rotate food in the microwave.
