  1. Yep. Clean for me 99% of the time, with heavy bass boost and low-mid slightly forward to give punch and depth.
  2. Reading this thread makes me realise what a great forum this, with everyone trying to offer help and advice. There's another bass forum I can think of, where they'd be at each other's throats by now. Friday glow of contentment settles over Chez Snorkie.
  3. Nice. Try rickresource.com Good luck
  4. That reminds me - must let Mrs S out of the hut soon. It's nearly spring. 👀
  5. But what about the one I stole from him then. I still have it. The Sun is publishing 'fake news'. 🫨
  6. Black is Black - Los Bravos
  7. Noah - Ozark Mountain Daredevils
  8. C'mon, it's Valentine's Day. Come home to Daddy PB. Make his day. 👍
  9. Never wanted to be a professional musician. As OP states, too many strains on relationships. I also refuse to fly anywhere - ever (no discussion). Generally don't like travel and always liked early beddy-byes. Hate hotels. Will not be told what/how to play. just as well I never wanted to be a professional musician. 😵‍💫
  10. Gibson Fridge eh? I'm onto your lies.
  11. For sale: 1st ever Honza992 reliced acoustic bass. 😉
  12. I have very high knees. 😉
  13. Not something we wanted to hear. Condolences to all who knew the man, and his family.
  14. With you on any and all of the above. Both T-Birds and RDs need to be slung low - nothing 'weird' then. Here's some of what you mention to prove I'm with you. 😁
  15. With you on the Gibson Andy. Any particular model?
  16. That looks very much like a Harvest Leather gig-bag to me. Excellent.
  17. Just to keep @Bassman68 and @Stub Mandrel happy, here's one of mine snapped two minutes ago. Sorry for poor quality of photo, but some of these stickers will be older than some basschatters. Ubiquitous KML sticker at top left.
  18. Just 'cause it's Neeps, here's my '75: alder bodied Ripper, photographed in '76, still got it and we're both 'vintage' in my book.
  19. Have to say that I recommend the East pre-amp. I have seven of them and they always deliver.
  20. I assure you Mr McCombe, I did not 'slabber' over you; merely fell through your bass cabinet, electrocuting the Entertainments Secretary and sang harmonies to Sweet Chile o' Mine in H flat. 'Slabber' indeed! 🫨
  21. Yep. Sunday Crunch?
  22. Basschat eh? So how do I sign up? It all makes me feel like Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner (if you follow)
  23. That Ripper switch is set to the 'out of phase' option giving that slightly distorted hollow tone.
  24. There will be consequences - Xentrix
