Successful trade with Ryan completed. My second transaction with him, everything fine again! Cheers Ryan!

They have separate outputs, so you need a way of mixing both signals, or just use two amps, or an effects unit like the Line6 M9 that has stereo input (so you would hear a J on the left and a P on the right 😊). A mixer would of course work as well. Not sure if you could use a 'Y' cable to plug into a mono input. Either way, it sounds immense if you use both outputs simultaneously... The original owner used two amps with separate signal paths to put one output through an aggressive path (filters, etc) and use the other to keep the low end intact, I think. I typically use it as two different basses by just alternating between both outputs. I was eventually planning on getting a Boss LS-2. Hope this helps.

Hi For sale is the Status Matrix fretless I got from BCer bamboo, originally owned by fretmeister. It is a rare beast, afaik the original fretted neck was replaced by a Status fretless neck, and then a P pickup was added, with its own volume and tone controls, and a separate output jack. This allows to run two different amps (and/or effect chains) at once, mix (or alternate between) both signals with a line selector pedal, etc. The bass is like having a graphite-necked Jazz and Precision fretless basses at once! It really sings and growls, with added body if the P pickup is used. The graphite allows you to use any kind of strings, and provides the proverbial extra brightness. The original bass dates from '97, and the body has numerous tiny marks (none offensive or apparent), the neck is pretty much mint. Low action, fast neck. The price is 400£ shipped, including the functional, original Status gig bag - I'll also throw in the flatwound string set it came with. I'm selling because I still prefer the neck of the Sonus fretless, and lined fingerboards. Trades possible but not many things I'm after at the moment... Maybe Pedulla, Marleaux with cash your way. Pics: Thanks!

This is what £128 gets you on ebay

Cause the D and (especially) G strings are completely mis-aligned with the pole pieces? 😊 -
Hi all NOW 230£ SHIPPING INCLUDED For sale my Yamaha BBG4SII. Bought it new as a backup, but no gigs + recent acquisitions mean it probably should go. It is a rock solid, active bass in virtually mint condition, except for the gold hardware somewhat tarnished (typical of this model, I believe), with two humbuckers and controls for vol/bal/bass/treble. The fretboard is a beautiful piece of rosewood, and it has a great satin neck with nicely figured maple. Stays in tune forever. The E string is particularly resonant, with very positive action. It has a broad range of solid tones, personally I would say it lends itself mainly to pop and rock - it can go from super woody to very snappy on the bridge PU. I would definitely keep it as it is fun to occasionally play, but I am bewitched by hi-fi basses and uncontrollable GAS... Anyhow, I found it difficult to set a price, so I've followed my rule of 60% of what I paid for it new. So it's 250£, shipping included, with a gig bag. A rockcase semi-rigid would be extra. Paypal accepted. Hi Up for sale my Danelectro Dead on 67 Baritone guitar. I am the first owner, and it's in excellent condition. I bought it because I was curious about baritone guitars, and I love the looks. It wasn't easy at all to find one in this colour, as this has been discontinued! I finally found one in Switzerland. Anyhow, I have too many guitars, so this beauty is up for grabs. I want 250£ for it, shipping to the UK included. I'll throw in a Vox Amplug AC30 that I don't use for free. Thanks! The most Miller-esque tone I have heard came from an Xotic J and a Carvin SB... Not from any Fender. Go figure. I actually was sorely dissappointed with a MM signature and top of the line US jazz. I guess it just shows how individual each bass is, especially if it has had mods... Same brand, same model, same age and it sounds different...

Best way to tell the wife..... ' I've just bought a new bass !'
juliusmonk replied to Tullfan's topic in General Discussion
Every piece of advice (and there's some great ones in this thread) should also indicate 'years married' and 'total number of guitars/basses/amps/other bulky gear' as complementary data. These can make all the difference on the tolerance threshold... Imho -
International 3-way trade involving Col just completed. Everything perfect, basses were flying around in perfect sync. Col is a great guy to deal with, would not hesitate to deal with him again. The bass was perfectly packed and communication was really easy. Thanks Col!
