1. Cash price now reduced: 1600£ posted Need funds for another instrument...😊 (Trade value remains at 1900£)
2. Hi all CASH PRICE NOW: 1525£! I now have two Consats, so up for grabs this custom spec, phenomenal Marleaux bass. It is a 2009 specimen, and has all the typical Consat Custom characteristics (ebony fretboard, 34" scale, ETS bridge, Delano pickups, ultra quiet Marleaux 3-band pre, active/passive switch, etc.), with two specific options: - narrow 38 mm nut - snow white high gloss finish (a 300£ option) The bass is very light, and features all the well known Consat goodness, with a modern and authoritative tone. And of course it is ridiculously easy to play - Marleaux's necks arguably being one of the most comfortable in the market. Comes with straplocks. Serial: 12xx Link to Marleaux page: http://www.marleaux-...sat_custom.html The bass is featured in the 'Gallery' tab (towards the bottom). I bought it from the first owner, so the bass is nearly mint, with only a small 'scratch' in the truss rod access cavity (see pic below), and a tiny scratch on the surface of the pu balance knob. Shipping included with hard case or Fusion gig bag. Flight case optional at extra cost. Thanks for looking! Just a quick video to show the basic tone, recorded straight to Mac: http://youtu.be/Ta8K76tukVQ
3. Bump... Last chance before Christmas at 380£, including hard case, and the original EMG pickups in the package. Bass strung with new Elixirs, .40-.95. In the new year, back to its original price.
4. Thanks Oli! A bit of a silly noodle, but just for anyone curious about how it sounds (recorded direct to Mac through flat Yamaha THR10) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk2T6mEIAmo&sns=em
5. Ah... Tempting... But it should be sherwood or teal green with a maple f'board... If such a thing exists... I just recorded a video with it and I'm having second thoughts myself
6. Bargain of the year! Any chance to hear some slap using the 'jazzbucker'?
7. Bought a bass off Neil. Exceptional packaging, very quick shipment, and he went the extra mile (with significant extra cost for him) so that I could receive it asap. As with all good deals, communication was easy, efficient and pleasant from the get go. Perfect basschatter!! Thanks Neil!
8. Bump - Pickups changed to Bartolini PJ now, which make it a great bass. But recent acquisition means this one has to go. Cash price back to 450£, but will consider trades.
9. Hi all, I recently got this because I was curious to revisit my difficult relationship with Precision basses - and took me one hour to remember why they are simply not for me. But who can resist a vintage Ibanez fretless? So up for grabs is this rather lovely vintage fretless "lawsuit" Silver Series Ibanez. Made in Japan in 1978. The condition is strikingly good -with no apparent damage anywhere! - and everything works fine. The somewhat figured maple fretboard is just perfect, neck is fine with no dings, headstock intact, body with slight traces of use. Not bad for a 35 year old bass, I am impressed! It obviously has always been strung with flatwound strings, and both I and the previous owner have used it very little. The action is REALLY low with no buzz whatsoever. The condition of the bass speaks for the quality of craftmanship back in the day, I guess. The edge of the fretboard has dots and lines, very helpful to intonate while preserving a clean fretboard on the front that looks quite stunning, to be honest. The pickup is a Seymour Duncan basslines (don't know the exact model, but it sounds very vintage), which I understand is an improvement over the original. May be open to trades, but I prefer cash on this one (paypal is ok). 350£ shipped. I will ship in a basic rockbag gig bag, but safely packed. Thanks! how's the tone on this one? I've never heard/touched a Shuker...
11. bump for a true modern classic trades I might consider include Spector, other Zon models, Pedulla, MTD, Ken Smith, Dingwall... Any zingy throaty thang. 4 string preferred, but I don't discard 5ers. I also love ACG basses! No acoustic basses, no jazz /precision type, humbuckers and maple fingerboards preferred (in general).
12. Close up of the mahogany grain, which I've always found beautiful...
13. Thanks - I wish I knew... Bought it from Station Music in Germany maybe ten years ago, but it had been sitting there for a while I think. Serial nr is 60xx33, if that helps.
