1. Hi all, For sale is my LeFay Remington Steele. I got this from BCer extraordinnaire wombatboter a few months ago, in hopes that this would be an even better fretless than my Zon Sonus. It is indeed an amazing instrument, and the tones and sustain are fantastic, but I didn't realise that the fretboard's extra high register would get in the way of my usual right hand position (especially for popping), which is closer to the neck. I have tried to adapt but I guess I'm too old to change in any significant way... So up for grabs is what could probably be a 'poor man's hyperbass'.😊 Photos taken yesterday: The bass is in excellent condition, just as it was delivered to me, with just minuscule dings that need a detective to be discovered. It is a 4-string, passive instrument, with controls for volume, tone and a 4-way selector that I suspect is for selecting coils of the single humbucker PU, and both in series or parallel - it seems to be a custom instrument (or an early version) and I have precious little info, so apologies! The official LeFay page is here: http://www.lefay.de/english/bass_remingtonsteele.html And a video of wombatboter (great player!) playing this very instrument here: http://youtu.be/GmGhuJCYDrQ I'm asking 1900£ for it with a hard case, which is approximately what I paid for it used - half the price of a new one. Delivery to the UK included. Not really looking for trades, although a similar high end fretless that I can slap on would be tempting. Thanks!
2. You can buy it Oli, then ship to me! 😁
3. Sad... I remember I had the chance to help as roadie for the Clarke/Duke Project in a jazz festival in Andorra many years ago. I think I still have a copy of the rider, stage map, etc. That was a great gig, Stan as always doing his thing down with the crowd, only limited by the length of his cable! I guess I was really young then... Must have been 1989-90, cause I also saw Miles Davis live in the same weekend...
4. Pity you're not shipping this, I might take it as I'm in 'buying mode' now. I did try one of these years ago (single PU model) and it's one of those basses you don't think much of at first sight and can't put down afterwards. Fun to play.
5. Sorry to revive this thread, just saw this and couldn't resist - it's soundboard and the bass is upfront in the mix.MK is a very solid player, but on that night he was particularly inspired, it seems http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQcGfRT4Tt0&sns=em
6. Sold a pedal to James, easy comms, fast payment. All good!
7. Thanks Fraff! They are... Instant 'disco' remix of any track, mono or stereo. But I have an insane number of pedals, so...
8. And final price reduction: 90£ posted Below that, I'll keep it. Thanks!
9. Just sold a pedal to Douglas, and he was a legend to deal with. He paid immediately, was patient with my busy schedule, responded promptly, and we had a laugh - no problems whatsoever. Although he says that he doesn't deal often at BC, I wouldn't hesitate to sell/buy. Highly recommended, a gentleman and perfect basschatter! Thanks Douglas!
10. Just completed a fairly complicated deal with Paddy, and he was great throughout, everything went just fine. Good to chat with him about guitars and amps as well, and we even found we may have a similar taste! I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again, easy communication and top basschatter
11. Bought a LeFay fretless from Geert, easy transaction and communications, a pleasure to deal with and a great player!

14. Hi, For sale in as new condition Boss twin pedal SL-20 Slicer. Works perfectly, and creates patterns in the style of the Adrenalinn and other pedals. I already have an Adrenalinn, plus an impending house move means that this has to go. I will actually be selling a few pedals now, just have too many and rarely use them. Shipping to the UK included. Comes with original box and manual. No power supply. 15. Bump I would consider part trades for: - smaller body acoustics (Gibson, Taylor,...) - fretless basses 4/5 with phenolic/metal/coated... fingerboard: Vigier, Pedulla, LeFay... - maple fingerboard fretted basses or guitars No amps/cabs, sorry.
16. Bump - and price reduction to 950£ firm. If anyone's interested, I should be able to find some quick videos I did a while ago to show how it sounds - to dissipate doubts.
