1. There,s can't stand losing you, hole in my life, roxanne, from the first album which have that kind of thing on with the guitar parts but other than that, some of the other tracks are almost Ska, in feel, again only a couple though (Canary in a coal mine) New Wave/Post Punk is about right
2. Remember they started out very punky and then evolved. Their last album was nothing like the first and in the scheme of things, they weren't around that long. The B side to walking on the moon 'Visions of the night' still punky. I always thought Ghosts in the machine was their weakest but since doing the Police tribute (10 years now) I don't believe it is. Each album has some real gems on it
3. try playing and singing Driven To Tears. It took me a damn long time to do it and even now it's a challenge
4. of course i think he's talented. He writes good songs and plays very complimentary bass parts. Love that bass too, sounds like my one
5. lol, my friend has a mocha strat. Looks horrible. I can honestly say, what a terrible colour!! lol. Sorry guys
6. Brown, that is all
7. now reduced to £1050 with possible trade for 5 String jazz, something like a Sire
8. Thanks mate, it is very light and has a fantastic neck
9. yes indeed, a spare headstock lol!! another guitar, obviously
10. I have a Gibson Les Paul AFD Slash guitar (amongst others). It comes with Dunlop strap locks as standard. I've never been a fan. It came off the strap several times but each time I was playing and so caught it before it hit the deck. But, one night (5 years ago) I strapped the guitar on, (I always gave the strap buttons a tug to make sure they were locked into place) I then bent over to pick something up and wham!! Les Paul face down on the deck. (A hard floor) Now I've been gigging for 30 years now (actually since 1981) and I've been really lucky with stuff like this. I looked to the sky and decided not to get upset. After all, it's a piece of wood and Gibson headstocks are easy to repair and I have a spare with me. I couldn't believe it, not only did it NOT break, it was still in tune. Dunlop strap locks = not very good
11. you've done the right thing Paul. It doesn't matter how good the singing or the playing, if you're a tw@t no one will want to play with you. I still have issues with my band but the main issue (drummer) is gone now. I was so close to leaving too. Glad you have a new project to wave those Thunderbirds at
12. His profile says'Paris'. Hmm... Kent..? Paris..? Eurostar..? Tunnel..? Return ticket..? How hard (or expensive...) can it be..? Or meet halfway through the tunnel..? Actually my wife works in Coquelles (think channel tunnel) so meeting in calais is very possible
13. sorry I'm not shipping this, they're too fragile. Where in France are you?
14. it depends what you want. 850 has more grunt and is quicker and they did a CSI version. my 840 is a 4.4 V8. auto, fairly quick, sounds nice, drives great, looks fab!! my brother has a 1974 3.0 CSI
15. It's an 840 CI sport Individual. 1999. It's gorgeous. I like V8s
16. NOW REDUCED TO £1050 with possible trade I've recently bought myself a classic BMW and it needs a little paintwork and wheels refurbished, so I'm thinking to let go my 2004 Thunderbird bass. I bought it from Nancy Johnson of this parrish and come witha a Babicz full contact bridge, dunlop straplocks and Gibson hard case. The bass is Ivory and as such shows some play wear, a few dings, typical Gibson nitro white finish. Since purchasing this bass, I've done a handful of gigs with it. It sounds fab but I can't stop playing my Fender Flea bass. The bass works perfectly, truss rod good, pots and pickups all good too. I only have one picture atm, taken at a gig. Any questions, please get in touch, Possible trades now, Sire 5 string Jazz + cash my way Here's a picture of the BMW in case you're interested lol
17. yes ineeed, welcome to you, I'm in Deal
18. I'm sure I remembered something about jaco pulling the frets and using a tube of plastic wood to fill the gaps. (not sure and haven't googled it. I'm just going by memory) This was in 1990. I had bought a USA '62 reissue P bass and decided to do the same. Pulled the frets and filed with tube of stuff. Worked a treat
19. I paid 35 quid and sat in the 2nd row, in the middle, it was so close.
20. What a show. What a singer and my word, what a great band. The best gig I think I've ever been to.
21. This is a bargain. I've had mine from when they were first released and I've hardly played anything else since
22.
if your only list of gigs is the website and you forgot to put it on there it's not entirely the drummers fault I would say, but, I don't know what's gone of before
Does he not have his own diary, like the rest of us? (I know he does, he told me that he is rubbish with his diary) I repeat, we don't have an online diary that is shared between us. We all have our own diaries. BUT, maybe we'll set one up for the future
23.
The OP took the gig but didn't put it in the band on-line diary, thus defeating the object of the on-line diary.
As I keep saying, The band doesn't have an 'on line diary' It has a 'gigs' section on the website. This is for the public.
