I bought this gorgeous Stingray in November last year, I got it at a very good price because, at the time, I was working at a music shop. Unfortunately, since then I've lost my job, and without going into too much detail, my personal circumstances have changed drastically. I can no longer justify keeping anything I don't use, and I've only played this live once, so it's first on the chopping block. It's currently strung with La Bella tape wound strings, which work really well with the mutes and the bass boost. Though I'd be happy to restring it with Daddario XL 45-130 of that's preferred. I'm based in Edinburgh, but I can travel a reasonable distance or post at buyers expense, I would prefer to send within the UK only and sending it any further would have to be entirely at the buyers risk. I'm not desperate to sell, but I would be open to reasonable offers.

So for most people this would be the worst time of year to be made redundant, I guess I'm pretty lucky it's such a busy time for function bands. That said, January is looking quiet and my tax bill is looming, so it's not all great news. Until a few days ago I worked in a music shop, and a few weeks before that I used my staff discount to buy a UA Apollo twin Mk2 (thunderbolt). I havent even plugged it in, so although the box has been open, it is otherwise brand new. The bad news is I can't afford to keep it, the good news is I got a good deal on it, which I will happily pass on to anyone who wants this. If you know what this is, you'll know how amazing they are, you'll also know they will only work with Thunderbolt connections, common on Macs, a lot less common on Pcs. You'll also know they generally sell for £750, they don't come with a thunderbolt cable (It's an apple cable) but I will provide one with this worth around £30. I'm based in Edinburgh, but happy to post it in the UK. I'm not in a hurry to sell it, but still open to offers as I would like to buy my old amp back from another bass chatter.

Mike bought an Ableton Push 2 from me, super fast payment and great communication. Pleasure to deal with.

I bought this about a year ago, tried it, lost interest before getting anywhere and repeated that a few times. I will list it on eBay next week, but thought I'd try a short listing here first on the off chance someone is on the lookout. I have Ableton already so I've never used the software or any of the cables. This could easily pass as new. They seem to fetch about £400-£450 on eBay, so open to offers here to avoid fees and time wasters. Will list on eBay next week, so be quick to get an early Christmas present for yourself or someone else. Can arrange postage at buyers expense, but I don't have much free time at the moment so it will probably have to be the post office.

So a few days after buying a Jeff Genzler amp off DeeDee (see above), DeeDee decided to buy a Jeff Genzler (Genz Benz) amp off me. Danny is equally as pleasant to deal with as a seller, can't say enough good things about him.

You all know what it is, it's an absolute tank, it sounds great and it goes forever. I bought it on here a few years ago, and although there is some dings on the back panel it works really well and has never let me down. It doesn't have any issues with the LEDs. I am pricing it pretty low because I need to sell it (having just bought a Genzler) and because I bought it at a good price, I used it full time for years, so it seems fair to reduce the price accordingly. I'd ideally like collection in Edinburgh, or meet up within reasonable distance, but I can post at buyers expense.

What bass and cab are you using with it?

I tried a Snapdragon folding guitar recently and it was very impressive. I haven't tried the bass, but judging by the design and build quality of the guitar I would say it's worth a look.

I found rolling off a little bass and low mids around 9 o'clock gave me a bright clean tone on the Streamliner, though to he honest I usually ran it pretty flat. The Magellan is better, but the Streamliner is still one of my favourite amps. I think I'll hold on to mine as a backup, mostly because they don't seem to be selling very fast on here at the moment.

For the tweeter? Usually just below half way, but one of the things I love about the BB2 is being able to adjust the tweeter, I usually leave the amp eq alone and adjust the tweeter up or down to suit the room.

Not sure if I want to do this, but worth testing the water. I have a Barefaced Big Baby 2 and it's great, clear and loud, but I think I want something a bit more smooth and vintage sounding. I think maybe a Barefaced 210 might be what I'm after. If you have a 210 and feel like a swap or a trade let me know. I'm not really interested in selling, unless a 210 comes up for sale.

I've been after a Genzler Magellan for a while, but I haven't been able to justify paying to upgrade from my Genz Benz Streamliner 900, but the more I've heard about it the more certain I was. I finally picked up one on here from @Deedee which arrived today. It arrived in the morning, I popped home from work on my lunch to check it was in one piece, then I decided to use it for a gig this evening. I was a little reluctant to gig it without trying it properly, but all the reviews and sound clips suggested it was easy enough to get a sound from and I brought my Streamliner in case it didn't work out. I have to say it is great, it sounds phenomenal with everything flat, and after a little tweaking I've found just a touch of the A contour with a flat eq is perfect for me. Our engineer (who is with us most of the time) said the di was a bit hotter but pretty similar to the Streamliner. I am very happy with it, having said that I was happy with the Streamliner too, but this feels just as fat, but less muddy. And that's after only one gig. ** in case it's important, I use one Barefaced Big Baby 2 cab. I like it a lot, but have been thinking it might be too clean sounding and possibly something a bit more "vintage" might suit me better, maybe a Barefaced 210. I'll get some pics on the next gig, was a bit too busy tweaking to take photos.
