i use t-cut on mine for light scratches dont know about heavier ones though

it was a perfect fit no new holes required ,i had a neck i bought from america which on arrival was warped and i cant beleive after all the grief i had with necks this thing slotted straight in and i love the feel of it quite chunky but i like that

this is my souped up encore,its been a long time in the building and the only original encore parts left are the neck and tuners which have been grafted onto a usa p bass body with a wizard thumper pickup cts pots and a us vintage bridge, the jazz pickup is a us jazz pickup but remains unwired i now have loads of parts as i bought a sunn mustang p bass i was gonna use at first but the truss rod doesnt work i think the sunn mustangs and the early encores where all made in india in the same factory as both the encore and sunn are pretty much identical bar the bridges and machineheads [attachment=61544:Picture_036.jpg]

i have a squier katana guitar i bought recently off the bay, i remember back in the 80s going to the soho soundhouse new years sale i went to buy a bass but the ones i wanted had gone so i came away with a fender katana guitar which i think cost about £150 sold it to a schoolmate shortly after

surely they would want a tried and tested sound ?i would never borrow someone elses rig unless i really had to i have a sound i like which is from using my own gear to obtain it ,i cant believe that many bands would just turn up on the off chance of borrowing some gear i would just tell them in advance no chance am im sure they would rustle up some gear and if they cant they shouldnt do the gig

i had the same pickup in my old jap precision and i was very happy with the sounds i had replaced my 70s usa p bass with the jap precision and used it live and for recording for a number of years

im a big fan of yamaha there basses are always well made but i never had one i have kept hold of i had a yamaha attitude plus, rbx200 fretless, attitude special and they were nice to play just wasnt overly impressed soundwise i own ibanez sr505 and an old roadster rs900 and i love the sound of these ,so for me its ibanez but to be honest i would say that both companies both have good quality contol
