1.
This site also refers to Vintage White http://www.fenderrei...ue-strat-colors
I find that fella makes a number of fundamental mistakes with his descriptions, at times - tho' he's not an official Fender site. The original 1982 official catalogue refers to this bass being available in 2-tone sunburst and blonde only. 'Mary Kay Blonde' isn't an official colour, either - just a colloquial description that was coined after Mary Kay played a see-through blonde Strat in her group. A 'Mary Kay' described finish included gold hardware. 'See through blonde' wasn't on the colour chart either, but it was offered as a finish. Hope this helps. Anyway.... gorgeous bass, Chris... good luck with the sale. .

  3. Am a bit late to this convo. Absolute horror story, Karl! Glad you got you money back, mate. I've been seething reading through some of these posts. As for myself, I've only ever paid by BACS when I've been able to get 3rd party proof that the seller exists. Other that I've gone to collect, with cash in hand - either to meet in a mutually agreed location or to an address verifiable on Google Maps. I don't need ANY bass badly enough to trust purchasing via EBay, Gumtree or PayPal from someone I've never heard of.
  4. ...three, if you count the CS one. This one's got my eye, tho'. .
  5. I own, and play, Jazz Basses from the pre CBS and early CBS eras.... ....and one of these, and these Fullerton re-ishews are absolutely the most playable Jazzes ever. They sound great they play great and the neck is slicker than slick. Whoever buys this is buying the best Jazz bass ever to say 'Fender' on the head stock. I don't know Blyn, so I'm not punting, but I know he must be a bit nuts for selling this at all.
  6.
Who is going to be the first to ask about the weight of this?
Lol. Lemme guess.... not you..? .
  7. Damn shame too, Mathias. I'd have been all over this like a nasty rash had it had a matching 'stock. Good luck with the sale my friend!
  8. So.... does it have a matching headstock? If it does.., then it's mine. Ignore any earlier posts by the likes of Karlfer & Co.
  9.
Wateroftyne said... Jazz Bass 65 - TV logo-era basses are very sought after at the moment. Not to the degree of the basses you mention, but they're still very collectable... especially in this condition.
....and I completely agree.

Quite right, jack_b. Whatever anybody tries to conject on here about their expert (lolz) knowledge, the fact remains that you have here a fantastic bass for sale at a very good price. Good luck with the sale, Jack. .
  11. Scam and a half that one Duncan. They don't need YOUR PayPal details.... just your email address! Oceanographer my a**e. Say hello to Woody for me. Lolz.
epoxyjazzbass: There is some détails that didn' t match for a fullerton. The logo is wrong.
That logo is perfect for a Fullerton model. It's the inaccurate one, before it was corrected on Corona models. I know this not through histrionic conjecture but because the instrument is exactly the same as mine. Also, I know of Fullerton serials up in the V017***s

Neck date or no neck date... undated red bottom pick-ups and that colour of pick-guard with that fleck pattern puts this firmly in Fullerton for me.
  15. Dreamed I had a spare four grand last night. Pi**er when I woke up. .
