Bought a Whirlwind lead off of Andy, no hassle whatsoever, great bloke to do business with.

UFO's Misdemeanor from 1985. It got absolutely slated by many fans of the band, and is widely seen as their weakest effort. Admittedly Nick Tauber's production isn't the best, but there's some excellent songs on there, IMHO it's far better than anything that has came from the Vinnie Moore era.

I've just today received and fitted my second P Bass loom from John and just like the last one, though it's not the same, it's top drawer quality, far better than the Mex stock one. Thanks for the quick response and turn around John.

I had the same model a few years ago, it lasted 10 years, turned it on one day and nothing, just silence. Sad because it was a great little amp.

Nice! IMHO You Can't go wrong with Black on Black, whether it be in conjunction with a Maple or Rosewood board.

Funnily enough I was listening to it for the first time in what must be easily four years on the way to work on Monday morning, I previously stopped listening because every day just sounded like they'd stuck in the same Dad's Rock cd. Luckily I didn't have to suffer any of the usual expectations, eg, Smoke On The Water, Paranoid, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, Freebird, Doctor Doctor, Foxy Lady, Black Night, Whole Lotta Love, Radar Love, etc etc. But after what seemed like 10 minutes of ads, I did get the impression that not much had changed when Sylvia by Focus started up, and off went the radio. They should play more of bands deeper cuts, at prime time, instead of the aforementioned dross, after all it's meant to be for rock fans, I can't imagine many who tune in would be lost as to what they'd be hearing or even object to it! All of the bands I've alluded to have far better content than their overplayed hits.

For me Genesis are thee prog band of the 70's. I had a ticket to see them at Newcastle City Hall on the Wind & Wuthering tour, but I came down with Meningitis three days beforehand. I like the post Hackett albums, but never felt the need to go and see them after he left. I make do with Seconds Out, it's a great and often overlooked live album, I hope one day they get around to releasing a version comprising the full show.

John Deacon, Geddy, Pete Way, Gerry McAvoy, Ronnie Lane, Rutger Gunnarsson (ABBA), John McCoy, Algy Ward, Paul Gray (Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Damned, UFO), JJ Burnel, Bruce Foxton, Mick Karn, Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), Paul Webb, Nick Seymour, to name a few. As for Cronos, he actually is a decent player. I recall sometime around 1983/84, Venom met Rush, and being all star struck and such Connie say's to Geddy, "You are my biggest inspiration, I learned the whole Hemispheres album, from beginning to end!" Geddy replied "I hope I didn't cramp your style!"

....and also Nicky Wire and Stove king of The Manics and Mansun respectively. A different genre The Bass player in The Specials plays one. Like Jonesy says there's no rules, if you like the bass and the sound it makes, go with it.

IMHO Still their best album, Script comes a close 2nd!
