  1. All of what hiram suggests above. Especially Strap locks, they're are a must!
  2. Totally agree! I bought the Sunburst around 18 months ago, and then later got the version Olympic White for an unignorable bargain price. Both are totally stock and deliver exactly what a Precision should. The only slight downside is the anaemic looking Indain Laurel fingerboards, which can be remedied with some Montypresso.
  3. I like Fender & Squier Precisions and Gibson & Epiphone Reverse Thunderbirds. But I don't like bastardised versions of those classic basses, with their aesthetically displeasing headstocks. Eg. Lulls, G&L's, Sire etc. No matter how good they're cracked up to be. Oh and let's not forget those hideous things with the names Ibanez, Yamaha, Dingwall and Fodera. 🤮
  4. That wire requires a crimp to keep it in the housing, but the conundrum here is knowing the type of crimp that is required and removing the one already in there. The other thing you could do is make the bass passive then it will at least sound a bit more like a Thunderbird should.
  5. Absolutely stunning bass! Circumstances made me have to sell mine back in 1990. It's still a painful memory.
  6. Dad Company Dad's Atomic Dustbin Prefab Dad Simple Dads Dad Maneuvers In The Dark Teenage Dadclub
  7. They are great basses, I have one in Ebony, but sadly they're not holding their price like the Classic Pro's are.
  8. Being in the same Colourblindness boat, and having both sets at present, I'd say Ernie Ball's too! The lighter ones are looking like Group IV's (40-60-70-95) and the slightly darker ones Group III's (45-65-80-100) Both sets have Gold ball ends.
  9. Good bridges and decently priced too! I have them on two of my Precisions. I didn't know Hosco are a part of the Gotoh brand.
  10. I use the Brave browser on both my PC and phone and I wasn't even aware the obviously annoying Privacy tab existed.
  11. Has a few scuffs, though they're nowt serious, works perfectly. No box or instructions. Price inc P&P.
  12. That's one beautiful bargain mate, I wish I had £850 to give you.
  13. Yes, yes you should and then you can sell me that MM neck 🙂
  14. Index and middle, when I was young I used to be able to incorporate the ring finger. During the mid 80's a few of us ended up in a fight with some local skinheads and I received a kick which somehow went between my middle and ring finger, luckily neither finger got broken, but damage was done and as a result my ring finger now rests at a slightly off angle towards my pinky. On the up side though, I found I can do a Mr Spock "Live long and prosper" gesture as easy as giving someone the V's.

  16. Very fairly priced originally, but an absolute giveaway now! These are a very decent set of pups. I can't fault the set in my VM Precision.
  17. If you ever feel like parting this out, keep me in mind for the neck please.
