1.
I think the geddy lee plates fit. You can find em on eBay or at basspartsresource
I've a stainless steel plate made for my Geddy which you can try if you like ? Si
2. I've EMG 40 HB on Steiny but dont like it (also EMG's on DWB3 also not too fond) .. got Nordstrand Big Singles (EMG 35 size) to replace but ended up having new bass built around Nordie pups ! .. Just got some more for next project .. I prefer passive single coils, so strongly recommend these ! my 2c Si
3. Markbass Classic 610 (Schroeder 410L)
4. Will post a pic asa .. but probably wont help much .. don't want to have to get a new one from US if it can be helped .. cheers Si
5. Got 2 sets of DR Hi Beams (40-100) & 2 sets (in 1 pack) of D'addario XL (45-105) .. looking for DR Hellborg / Low Rider nickels (40-100) / Black Beauties ... anyone ? cheers Simon
6. Me & my brother (guitar) 'write' or more like make up the music (riffs), some are bass lead but as I don't consider myself a real bass player (at least not yet) I don't mind thinking as a guitarist might (used to play guitar) & it seems to work with our stuff .. we all seem to like it. Singer is great a lyrics (more of a poet) but struggles with finding melodies sometimes. Si
7. I've a Warwick Tubepath 10.1 & Schroeder 410L (4Ohm) redundant & am looking at some light weight heads as a backup (Markbass R500 top of list) ... ? cheers Si
8.
These are still available.... Is there no Interest in a set of lovely Nordie Pups?... ZenBass
I might be .. will PM later ! Si

11. Spoke to Andrew today (about delivery of a bass he bought off me a while back) .. apparently he's been a bit poorly, so for those of you who know Andrew it might be nice to send him a quick 'hello' or something ... cheers Simon
http://www.myspace.com/orchidrockband cheers Si ps. all 9 tracks were done live @ studio (incl. mistakes lol) .. will go back soon & do some more .. wasn't really pleased with my bass sound .. way too deep .. not how it sounded when playing.
OK I know most stuff sounds pretty crap if you just play it through your computer's speakers but someone at least 'say' that !! Just for those you have had a listen (but not commented) ... Paulman custom jazz bass - Nordstrand Big Singles (brilliant btw) Markbass Classic 300 & 610 cab (also fantastic) DI - sounded more natural than anticipated, Mic'd - bit disappointing DI & mic mixed (not by me) together but no way captured what I heard so will try using my own Shure sm57 next time cos that sounds great (10-20ft away) & will make sure the sound guy (young lad new to this) has a neutral eq to start with or less bass than recorded here ... it's a learning curve but we all agreed it was a better way of recording ie playing live opposed to separately .. unless you spend big bucks .. ! Yes you get bleed over & any mistakes are captured but you do bounce of eachother & (hopefully) get a groove going (or rock in our case) like at a gig rather than the sterile 'booth' type recordings .. it's only a demo afterall ! cheers Si
14. No comments as yet .. ??

16. SOLD ! ... to 'Beneath It All' !
17. - 4 piece alder body (sanded / stained was a bit battered) - maple neck (stained) rosewood fretboard - pots/plate & badass II from Geddy Lee - Fender Noiseless pups frets a bit on 12th so have raised action but could do with leveling .. has a ss scratchplate but also have white Geddy if you want .. not a bad bass esp. for a beginner .. would prefer pickup (delivery cost not incl.) cheers Si
18.
Here's a pic of mine, it's got an ebony board not wenge, so this supports that paul has made few different ones (I think he said less than 10 or 12 the last time I spoke to him) I need a gig bag for mine if any one has one
It's not the 'curved/hourglass' model as pictured but I'd say a more modern look. Yes I know it's pretty vague but he hasn't got any pics but it sure does look nice. Apart from the wenge fretboard I don't know what other wood he used .. like I said just ask him. Si
19.
............................Not yours? No Pics? Not sure of the price? How would Paulman know which instrument is being discussed?..Perplexed
Ha .. lol ... well he is getting on a bit ! .. only got 1 EUB though ! Got some 5 strings for sale I believe .. best to give him a call. Si
20. Not mine but I said I'd post it on forum if anyone's interested .. no pics I'm afraid but it's well made .. think @ £450 but don't quote me ! Give give Paul a call rather than email (Paulman in Huddersfield) .. he'll be able to tell you all about it cos he made it ! 01484 542139 http://www.paulman.co.uk/ cheers Si
