1. Will you send to Mars? Are those 15" or 18" drivers? Why is one of them a lot smaller than the other? How many drivers are there in fact? On second thoughts, just drop it. I'll take the Big One. Wouldn't want to be stuck with THIS guy on the badge:

2. Boring, formulaic and deeply lacking in musicality! ... and that's all I have to say about you lot! The music however totally rocks my boat, despite the 80s, the synths, the formulaicness and every other just remark that has been made. I find it moving in several senses, and the chord progression takes me each time I listen to it. I came to this thread after a search, as I had never heard of Dirty Loops before. So my reference frame is limited to this song and the outro bit that Steve BBB posted in the "Monster Horns" thread.
3. I can relate. Have begged the wife for that little bit of horn [s]suction[/s] section too, to no avail. (Just making sure Mark doesn't have to do all the work on BC!)
4. Thanks for posting, fellow CAT man! IMHO it was awesome, and I look forward to the album. Though, through my crappy headphones it sounded like a lot of processing and synths were part of it. Will revisit with good headphones later
5. As somewhat indicated, MM are the brand of which it's very, very often said they give boutique basses a run for their money. Noobly, I know zilch, but within that reference frame, for me the Bongo stands out from everything else I've heard or felt in that it's a mighty, mighty thing of might. Then, I lurv a 4EQ, as, in my mind, the essence of the sound character is not in the bass or the treble but in the low and high mid. Then add bass and treble to taste. Oh, and its design is stellar, bog seat or no bog seat. That and its colours! Luvverly. Oh, and that stuff they smear on the neck! Very secure when you want to keep your thumb at one place, and very fast when you want to move your thumb around. Me, I love it. I'd put it on organ and piano keyboards if they'd let me.
6.
Ironic really, when you consider they are the two most common colours for a toilet seat.....
You'll be stumped when you see the new picture pickguard for my white Bongo!
7. Welcome, Phil. You should do more introductions. You're good at it. Enjoy! Bert
8.
Anyone remember Vinegar Joe? A band from the 70's with RP and Elkie Brookes sharing vocals.
Aye! Vinegar Joe were great. I vividly remember Elkie Brooks, but must admit I'd totally forgotten that RP was in there too. Must be that I'm strictly a lesbian.
9. Not written by him, but still luvverly, is Todd Rundgren's "Can We Still Be Friends", here in the version from RP's "Secrets" album:
10. Well, it just had to happen, hadn't it? Since you bought this Eldorado, I mean. Congrats with a luvverly bass! I hope she serves you well, Oh, and thanks for the inspiration. I need to sell all my basses as well.
11. Nice, Chris! Exactly what cabs are those? DB? Do you like them? I'm heavily contemplating ordering a few Aguilar 112s unseen and unheard, based on what BC has said earlier - probably DBs.
12. Welcome, Ben! Yeah, twas my Google searches for bass info that led me hither as well. Enjoy it! Bert
13. Badboy, I know it's off topic, but what are you hoping to achieve? My first impression of both makes me think I'd rather shove my basses through the BC212 than through the MAG 410. Also, it's called BC fer cryin' out loud!
14. Welcome, Antonio! Bert
15.
I've had one of the ashdown mini stacks before and was impressed with the tone
Similarly, I'm thoroughly impressed with my LB112s. They sound lovely with an old skool amp like the Little Bastard, and open up and show their ability to be quicker and airier than expected when getting a signal from a Genz Benz GBE. Love 'em.
16.
being bog standard isn't a bad thing depending on what the standard 4x10'cabs sound like lol
Me, I've only had a MAG 410, and agree with the notion that at least that one is not woolly. That said, I did experience it as being slightly indifferent/lazy, which could well be the gate to woolliness. Reports on how the ABM differs from the MAG are wildly varying, so I think you should hear an ABM for yourself so you're not guided in the wrong direction.
17. Welcome, Miguel! Bert
18. Welcome, Fred! Nope, we took it to mean you're 142 years old. How wrong can one be, eh? Enjoy! Bert
19. IMS, Ashdown themselves have confirmed the Bentleys were a design thing, and were technically bog standard.
20.
'Complimenting' I'd say :-)
Ah! So that's what it's called? Thanks!
Btw, re. picture above holding the green Bongo - you look different to how I would have imagined you, should I have ever tried to imagine you (prior to seeing that picture)
Was waiting for a comment like that. You'd expect an ugly, depressed, old, bald, fat bloke wouldn't you? Well, you'd be right. She OTOH is a friend of mine, and a real woman despite the slightly androgynous look on this here pic.
21. Well, you did say "matching" and this IS matching, innit? For the inquisitive mind: Daisy Rock Debutante Daisy (short scale), of unknown build year, in the colour Awesome Blue.
22. Oops here too. The colour of the Dargie Delight is called Olive Green aka Logan Green. The "shifting" colour of the Dargie Delight II is called Caramel Apple Delight.
23.
Believe it or not "Bell End" is a village in Worcester!
Aye, in Bromsgrove, and thus situated near Canuck Chase!
24. Welcome, Glenn! Bert
25. Sorry lass, I was under the misguided impression every Canadian knew the term. An Ontarian friend of mine taught it to me, and he told me it's an ugly derogatory term for canucks, but not necessarily meant to harm: "Hey, kanuk breath! Great seeing you! Come sit with us!" As to South Wales, there's many of that particular faith here on BC. That's one part of why I couldn't resist that bit (the other part being that I've been there for work a lot, and love it to bits). As to my location, I'm not in NL. I'm in NO! But to better answer the question: I'm Dutch but live in the extreme South of Norway.
