Hi everyone, Up for sale is this Antoria (model : 2367B) P J Maple Fretless (1978). This has sold a few times on Basschat -have a search around for the title topic for further details. I bought it about 18 months ago as I'd never owned a fretless and thought I'd give it a go. It's been good fun, however I'm not really using it so thought I'd sell it on. It is a real good player and would suit someone wanting to venture into the mysterious world of fretless. Specification. I understand it is Fujigen Gakki (Japan) made from around 1978. Body construction is mahogany sandwich, possibly butcher block, with birch front & back veneers. Maple neck, with handy side mounted lines/dot markers to aid playing. This one has had a pretty professional J pickup route added. In my ownership, it has had the following updates :- - Used Fender Squier P-bass special pickups ( P&J type) - New alpha mini pots. - Used scratchplate ,new scratchplate screws. - Currently strung with old flatwounds. Condition -The photos possibly flatter the bass slightly,It's well used (consistent with age) with plenty of dings/scratches and marks ( proper roadworn) -The neck is worn, through the lacquer in a few places (flatwounds help). -The intonation is good, low and plays fine in all positions. -Electrically it's good, and both P and J pickups work fine individually and together. -Machine heads and bridge work fine. Comes in an old but fully functional Warwick "ROCKBAG" gigbag. £150 Collection from Bristol Cheers Neil

Hello everyone, Up for sale is my Zoot 115NT, 1x15" bass cab. Had this about 18 months, bought off this very site! selling as I want a 2x12" vertically stacked 4 Ohm cab. Great cab- sounds good, no issues. I have used the cab weekly for practice, but never gigged with it, the carpet covering is a bit bobbly and the corners are a bit worn- other than that it is fine. Super light, easy to carry (even single handed!!) The baffle board is not green (It's a trick of the light!!) Specification http://www.lean-busi...-cab-p-379.html - 400W 8 Ohms Celestion Neo 15" driver. - 64cm high, 44cm deep, 61cm wide - 38Hz-5KHz - 19Kg - Hand built in the UK. - Constructed from ultra light-weight high grade birch plywood developed exclusively for Zoot. - Gig resistant carpeted covering, high impact plastic corners, recessed carry handles, tough metal grille. £200, collection from central Bristol Neil

Had this a few years and never really used it. Nice retro/vintage "Ohm" brand (made in the U.K) guitar amp dual footswitch. -Has two switches one for reverb on/off and one for channel select. The actual footswitches look new. -It is made of a solid composite material (not metal) and has a rubber base.Super solid unit. - It has 2m of cable plus a stereo Neutrik jack. -The electrical switching is like most of the standard dual footswitches out there, between the sleeve and either tip or ring on the stereo jack. 22cm long, 110 cm wide, 30cm high Thinking £7.50 Delivered ? must be some use to someone .......? Yeah I love Jeff Ament, but three amps and a total of 28 speakers live just seems slightly excessive...

Hi Everyone, P-bass pickup of unknown origin which I have lying around and may be useful to someone? Sounds fine, 10.28K Ohms impedance, wires have been extended to a decent length. The mounting screw hole 'ears' are slightly bigger than a standard p bass one so your scratch plate may need a bit of filing. No Screws or springs etc just as it comes. £5 posted Cheers Neil

Hello, You are correct about cheap inverters having rough (pseudo sine) AC output. I've always used Antares equipment (http://www.antares.co.uk/) to provide true sine AC output on the battery powered vehicles I have worked on- though it's not cheap, but essential for expensive computing equipment and pretty efficient too. 1. I would get yourself something like a diesel car/ marine battery >60Ah, the bigger the better, you can get a battery pretty cheap- or even look out for a discarded one which may be fine with a bit of proper conditioning. Battery science can be quite complex and dividing the Ah of the battery by the your load is only ball park figure, there is inefficiency so using a large battery with lots of Ah will be a good start. I've used simple lead acid batteries for traction batteries in deep discharge mode successfully- which would be like your application, but having more Ah is better as batteries can unpredictably "fall over/die" without warning on a heavy discharge cycle towards their lower limit. 2. Car power amps don't seem to have controls on them-just input/ output and power supply remote. So the output is proportional to the input they receive from a source, like a car stereo- I guess this will be in the range of 0-2V(max) You will need a simple 12V DC pre-amp module to take the bass output to the power amp input. Bass -> 12V DC preamp (with tone and master volume ctrl) -> 12V DC power amp (car amp) -> Speaker Something like this might be fine, with master volume, treble and bass-although the input impedance sensitivity may not be great for a bass, they do a "guitar preamp" kit too, they are so cheap too and simple to modify/ play with. http://www.quasarele...ne-controls.htm http://www.quasarele...trols-tl082.htm Otherwise they are loads of simple designs on the net with a proper gain and master volume control for bass. 3. There are loads of Class D power amp module/kits on bay from China, some of which may be fine if you don't already have a car power amp. If your a putting it all in the same enclosure, consider a proper grounding strategy and heat sinking/cooling if you are using a simple Class D power amp module. Hope that helps
