8. I'll be coming in past the Metrocentre, will that be uncongested(ish)? Oh and Martin from Overwater is coming along too. RK
9. Staring at headstocks eh? Its a symptom of having a custom bass built! ha ha Martin was showing me a custom build Overwater Jazz bass recently that has a laid back headstock! Very cool. As you will know, when basses are made this way, there is a chunk of wood cut out of the back of the neck. The guys at OW make these off-cuts into chopping boards! Really! I have one, but its way too nice to chop stuff on. Your bass is looking lovely 4Strings, its gonna be a beaut! thank you please RK
10. Its early in the day, but I'm thinking of something like the legs of a cymbal stand. Not a tripod of course, but a single leg each side of the neck on the back of the bass? And made of wood. And with witchcraft. N'that. As I said, its early. zzzzz Btw, 4strings, theres a build thread on here for my bass, also it will be at the NE Bass Bash this weekend. Time for a nap! RK
11. Nice! RK

Straps
They are available to non drinkers too. http://www.ebay.co.u...cat=0&_from=R40
And yes, it DOES say 'for Straplocks'. What a wonderful world this is! RK

Straps

Bass straps are usually wider, and a tad more heavy-duty, cos basses are generally heavier than guitars. I have a Mono, and a Comfort Strapp. Both are very good. Regarding straplocks, beware of those straps where the ends double over, you will not get the straplock over two thicknesses of leather. hope that helps RK
18. Hmmm. Can't say I've ever bought bass bits from Tripadvisor, but I'll surely check them out. In the meantime, its BassDirect for me. RK (only kidding, no reply needed)
19. I think Mark is a good guy. I'll still shop at BassDirect. I don't think this kind of thread is the best use of Basschat. Off to find a positive thread now. bye RK
