1. Any new pics Captain? I need my fix, its been 5 days, ha ha! RK
2.
To the OP, don't get too bogged down in it. There's a lot of stuff to take in at once, so don't get too disheartened if you feel overwhelmed. I'd start with learning about the major scale and go from there.
+1. Although I think the OP left long ago and is happily practising his scales and learning from it. RK
3. Ok, hands up, who has googled 'autodidact'? apart from me, that is.
4. Perhaps a TC Combo 450 would meet your needs? Great amp, lightweight 210 cab, its loud as a loud thing, and it has wheels!. thank you please RK
5. I'm fairly sure we have departed from the original post here chaps. It was a simple request for advice on where to find some good theory information. RK
6. Learning scales is fun, its official. It was the subject of my first ever lesson, and I use that theory most every time I play. Learning to use these scales to fit in with a tune is really just taking theory and putting it into practice. That's how learning works isn't it? RK

Welcome to Basschat Tony. Hope you find the site informative, and entertaining. Good luck with the refurb on the Jazz, there will be lots of help available on here when the time comes. thank you please RK
8. Ah yes, I forgot about StudyBass, a really good site, very structured. http://www.studybass.com/study-guide/ good luck, and remember, keep it simple at first. Don't get swamped. thank you please RK
9.
Have a look on youtube for Scotts Bass Lessons. He,s da man!!
Oh yes, Scott is the best, and a nice chap too. Also, go to YouTube and live there for a wee while. There are hundreds of video lessons on there. thank you please RK
10. Just noticed, the Basschat clock is wrong. Pffff. Better get some sleep then.
11. (getting some proper pictures taken of the bass)
12. Noooo, just visiting. Although, now you come to mention it.......
13. Cool! Next time I visit I'll have a look. Should be up there in the next few days. RK
14. Hercules wall brackets are very good. They are well made, and hold the bass very securely. I have two, but they aren't for sale. Apparently you can get them in Halifax for around £10. thank you please RK
15. Wow! Nice looking bass JimBob. congrats, enjoy. RK
16. Oh I'm absolutely loving it. I realised the other day when getting ready for a gig, that I havn't even plugged in my Bolt-on Perception since the new one arrived. Its perfect. I guess that's the benefit of a custom build? Your build is pretty cool, you must be chomping at the bit to see it finished? When is it expected? RK
17.
Beautiful bass! Did Overwater keep to the build-time they stated when you contracted for the bass? Thanks!
Hi AndroWal, The build took slightly longer than expected, but the wait was worth it! Are you considering a build? RK
18. That is one awesome bass, keep the pics coming! Black and gold Bridge looks fab too. thank you please RK
19. TC RH450 and 2x10. This rig sits on an RS112. Works a treat! For smaller 'doo's' the RS112 just lifts the combo off the ground a bit. For larger gigs, the RS112 is plugged in. Rarely go beyond 12 o'clock on the master. Regularly complemented on the tone and presence. thank you please RK
20. The mods won't bother us, we're not doing any harm(onic)
21.
However I don't think it's something to fret about ;-)
I don't fret, I just get Board. thank you please RK
22. Very nice! Black and Gold, cool. RK
23. Hi all, I guess this pic is what it was all for: first gig with the new bass. What a night! thank you please RK
