  1. I notice you have gone for the through-body stringing. I havn't done this yet, my strings are hooked up the normal way. I'd be interested in your views on this WHEN YOU COLLECT YOUR BASS LATER TODAYYYY. woo hoo! RK
  2. That bass is proper lovely! Nice one. RK
  3. Wow, that is a monster bass! Awesome RK
  4. Natural. As Si600 says, they will compliment the neck. Errrr, no, green would be nice too. (Hope you slept well, ha ha). Nearly there now 4 Strings! Woo hoo! RK (Green, really.)
  5. Nice one! Where are they from? RK
  6. Ohhhhhh yes! Now it's starting to come together, 'tis a thing of beauty! (and Utility of course!!) Looking good, very good. RK
  7. Oh yes, its coming to life now! Each step now brings it closer to completion, and the details are just fabulous. Cool RK
  8. Its good that you have a good relationship with Robbie. It helps a lot. I was really lucky to hook up with Martin at Overwater for my build. BTW, I visited Williams Guitars yesterday (with Martin) and was very taken with the Jazz that Haydn has just finished. Haydn is a top guy too, and an absolute master luthier. Hmmmm. RK
  9. Oh man, that is a lovely bass. All through this build I've been trying to visualise the finished instrument, but I can't. I have no experience of 8 string basses. In any case, its gonna be a beaut! You have the patience of a saint, Captain. Cap doffed! RK
  10. Man, that is a nice colour! I understand about the nerves, I was the same with my build. Hang in there, when the build is complete it will be a lovely bass. The workmanship is top-drawer. You will love it. RK
  11. Another step closer Captain! RK
  12. Already own mine, can't think of anything that would top it. Yes, I am a fortunate son. thank you please RK
  13. Or, (having read your ad properly! doh) how much for the RH750? RK
  14. The RH750 amp is tempting. Can I interest you in an RH450 trade? thank you please RK
  15. Oh wow! That is beautiful. RK
  16. For what you have paid it seems a real bargain. Nice one! The main thing is that you are happy with it. There are a lot of threads on here that decry the custom bass (and its pricetag) and I don't want this thread to be doing the same to a budget bass, because that's equally wrong. The bottom line is this, if the bass plays well, and pleases you, then all is good. Enjoy! Give us your views after a good play. RK
  17. Ha ha, yes some of the bigger thread/longer length Ti bolts are a horrific price (don't remind me). They do a good range of non-Ti fasteners in smaller sizes and lots of colours too though. RK
  18. And yes, the boiler suit works every time, especially with rigger boots! RK
  19. Check out ProBolt http://www.pro-bolt.com/ I've used them a lot in the past, for Titanium fasteners for my Trials Bike. No minimum quantity, very reliable, and they sell Titanium! thank you please RK
  20. More fantastic work, can't wait to see the finished bass! RK
  21. Eek! No pics! This is like when the Sky HD stops working, or the car won't start. RK
  22. Fantastico! Its looking great. Those bridges do take a bit of fitting, as I recall. Very cool though, especially with the black saddle pieces. (I've just ordered silver ones yesterday, ha ha). This is gonna be a beautiful bass, and no mistake. Every part is awesome, that headstock is particularly smart. RK
  23. Just bought a StageClix Jack system. Very pleased with it. Nice clean signal, no interference problems, 'kin good kit! thank you please RK
