1. Hi there, Is the Corona still for sale? RK
2.
Ah yes, I remember watching that one. Still enjoying it? Probably a silly question.
Ohhhh yes! Its a beast. I was at Overwater on Monday having a new Ramp made. Martin did the gluing up a few weeks ago, then we left it to stabilise (because it is ziracote/maple/walnut to match the bass body. Cutting and shaping on Monday, then it went off for the finish lacquer to be put on. Going back on Saturday for it to be fitted. Won't be going anywhere near the special cupboard though! tee hee Pics of Ramp to follow.... RK
3. I have two already, and a Tanglewater jazz. See my build thread in my signature. Its worth a look. Martin is a genius, and will do a great job for you. congrats RK
4. No. Senior moment. It wasn't this one. Still looks fab though! Enjoy the build experience! RK
5. Subscribed! (I think I saw this at OW on Monday) RK

Moffat Bass Bash 7

Angie and I will be attending, along with Martin from Overwater, and Haydn from Williams Guitars, oh and my bass. RK
9. What ambient said above +1 (site won't let me use 'quote') pffft RK
10. Oh man, that is spectacular! What a fantastic piece of work. You lucky man. I've followed this build from the outset, yet I'm still gobsmacked to see the built bass. Great choices of woods, hardware and shape. Wonderful RK
11. Oh wow! Pics!!! RK
12. Great news Captain, can't wait to see this monster bass!! RK
13. Dreadful grammar, sorry Captain, its early. RK
14. Proper engineering! Nice. Something we don't see enough of. What are we expecting the 'in your hands' date to be? RK
15. Hi Captain. No news yet, I'm afraid. I've been sweating for this amp since October last year. Its certainly not the cheapest amp ever, but the quality and performance are through the roof apparently. If its anything like the 212 cabinet I've just got, it'll be superb. Marc Vanderkley has prototypes at the London show this weekend, but still not available for retail sale. Hey Ho. One day soon hopefully. I'll be posting on here when it arrives. We need to hook up and put your 8 string through this rig one day. RK
16.
Thanks Andy, and thanks for sending that mahogany. Its really finished it off nicely. Yes you are! haha. Thanks though. Yea, i've thought about it, I might put another washer on the inside to pull it back a little, but I'd need bigger screws for that which I don't have. For now it doesn't bother me.
No worries. Its a cool bass, that's the main thing. RK
17.
Ooh yes, this is a good tip. I find that it's not so much the key to the song I need, just the note that my part starts on. Once I've played that first note I'm away. So I try to associate the first note with something about the song and keep that in my head. It was quite easy with these: 'Bohemian Like You' - starts on B for Bohemian 'Gigantic' - starts on G for 'Gigantic' Had more difficulty with Car by Gary Numan - starts on D, so I had to think of D for Daimler. Likewise Hey Joe - couldn't think of a way to remember that it starts on C. Until our guitarist suggested 'Hey Joe - you chump!' I never forget that now
Love it! I'm gonna use this method. thank you please RK
18. Nice one! RK
19. Very nice indeed! Great work with the truss rod cover. Its all in the details, and matching the shape with the headstock looks excellent! (perhaps the selector switch could be slightly recessed, to prevent it accidentally being switched by your 501 jeans pocket? I'm being picky here, btw) Fabulous bass though. Congratulations. Enjoy! RK
20. Everyone will be busy at the moment getting stuff ready for the London Bass Show. RK
21. Hey Captain, I'm sweating for the Vanderkley Aurora amp to be released for sale. I'm having one! Its taking ages, but will be worth the wait apparently. (Bought his 2 x 12 cabinet recently). Build diaries are slow too. I'm in the corner, rocking, ha ha. Looking forward to the next instalment of your epic bass build. RK
22. Need my fix!
23. Awesome! Subscribed. RK
24. I've had good and bad experiences with Hipshot spares, but they are certainly easy to deal directly with. Bought a Hipshot type A Bridge that needed some grub screws changed. The screws,a Tap and an Allen Key just arrived in the post one day. I wanted some chrome saddles for my triple clampdown Individual bridges, and they were too expensive to ship over to our green and pleasant land. In both cases though, Hipshot were very helpful indeed. RK
